Helping his brother Dean, the man of a 1,000 (female) faces
Samuel Winchester (no, he was named BEFORE Supernatural, thank you very much) held onto the doorframe for the added support as the reality of his predicament struck home. He had done relatively well for himself, despite the odds that life seemingly loved to stack in odds against him. Mother dying when he was just weeks old, his detective father dying when he was nearing his teenage years, raising his younger brother Dean all by himself while putting himself through college, business school, and then finding a job. He had a decent two-room apartment near an affluent section of Denver and had a 6-figure job in the field he loved. With a steady job, nice place to live, he had managed to snag the courage to ask out a girl he had met in the gym a few years earlier and they had been contemplating marriage in the near future. All in all, perfect.
Life, meet Sam. Sam? Meet Life.
His girlfriend? Dead not three months ago from being struck by an out of control big-rig on the highway. Job? Under threat from new corporate restructuring (he was safe, half his team wasn't). Car? Got side-swiped by a metro bus, total bill near $15,000 to repair (he was lucky it wasn't written off).
Worst of all was the pitiful looking woman sitting in his living room, shivering in skimpy club attire in the month of December. In Colorado, over a mile up.

"Dean..." he began, rubbing his temples. "Let me get this straight...you were partying with some friends and you got dosed by a synthetic X-Change knockoff?"
The girl nodded slowly, hugging the thermal blanket around her shoulders closely.
"And when you noticed, you tried to change back but you're somehow stuck as this girl?"
She shook her head slightly. "I wasn't blonde...I was latin looking..." She grabbed her purse (why did she have one?) After fishing out her phone, she scrolled through and then held up a pic.

"I was latina until I got here...when I awoke, my body had changed to looking like this." She tucked her arms close to her chest and peered up at her brother. "I don't even know what happened, Sam..."
