Head back the way you came

With the demon's presence gone, you figure there's nothing preventing you from simply moving backwards and trying to leave the cave entirely. It's hardly like he knew which way you entered through, anyways. The room had seemed to be completely empty, but this has hardly been an adventure that makes sense, and you decide that you'd rather take your chances with a place you've been than a place you haven't. The tunnel is just as long as when you initially entered, but when you exit out into the circular rock cavern, you're surprised to find that it's much brighter than before. Light must be pouring in from somewhere in the ceiling, and it fills the room, making travel much easier than before. Looking around, you're even more surprised to find that the hallway you entered from isn't the only one, as there are two more holes in the wall each evenly spaced around the room.

However, the most surprising revelation is that there is a massive hole in the middle of the room, one that definitely wasn't there before. It opens downwards into another similarly shaped cavern, but vastly different. As far as you can tell from a small distance, the ground turns into the pale brown color of sand, and a crystal clear lake fills the majority of the room. In addition, there appear to be people swimming in the lake, the faint sound of their voices lifting up to your level.

You can't help but be subconscious of your current state, but it's hardly the first thing on your mind. There appears to be an easy way down, as one of the tunnels is simply a ramp downwards into the lower cavern.
