Gavin reaches Tharros.

Gavin sighed, he had lost his horse three days ago when he saved a travelling merchant from a trio of bandits, and he had been walking ever since. As thanks for saving him the merchant had given Gavin a pouch filled with heavy golden coins, and a thick black cloak with many pockets sewn into it. Finally Gavin reached the gates of the great city of Tharros, the city that he had admired from one of the hills further inland a day ago.

Gavin saw various people enter and leave Tharros, he saw Jahdi noblemen and Zoracian merchants and even the occasional odd wizard. Finally Gavin passed through Tharros' gates himself, he admired the several buildings and people he noticed a small crowd standing along the road. Gavin joined the crowd and he noticed that a carriage pulled by two white horses, and several men and women glad in gleaming armour were passing through the street, but when Gavin looked at who was in the carriage he felt his heart beating faster and time seemed to slow down.

Inside the carriage was one of the most beautiful women Gavin had seen, not that he had seen a lot of women in his sheltered life. Her lustrous chestnut brown hair fell down past her shoulders, as the carriage past him Gavin could notice her high cheekbones and slender swan like neck. When the beauty's blue eyes locked with Gavin's her full lips formed a smile, showing Gavin her pearly white teeth.

Once the carriage and its guards had passed, Gavin turned his attention to a man that was standing next to him. “Sir, who was that woman?” Gavin asked, curious about the beauty.

The man laughed roughly.
“That was Keelyn, the youngest daughter of lord Arland Vanora. But you won't stand a chance, old Vanora only lets female servants service her, and he won't allow any men to meet her if they aren't a prince or as rich as the gods themselves.” The man said before he walked off.

Gavin had come to Tharros to make a name for himself, he just hoped that one day he would gain enough fame to see Keelyn again. Not trying to dwell on it at the moment, Gavin went looking for an inn longing for a soft bed. Eventually Gavin stopped in front of a large four-story building, with a sign that read 'The Queen's Kiss.' Gavin entered the building, hoping to find a room and maybe hear about some profitable jobs...
