Chapter 7 by Risax Risax

What's next?

Gavin stays at the Queen's Kiss.

As Gavin entered the Queen's kiss, he observed the inn.
The ground floor of the Queen's Kiss was a tavern and several men and women were drinking, and some were eating food from the kitchen, on a raised platform at the end of the room sat a dark haired man playing the lute. On the wall behind the lutist hung a mounting board with a sword mounted on it, the wood was deep almost blood red in colour, beneath the sword the word 'Kingkiller' was inscribed in intricate letters.

The sword seemed to be about forty-six inches in length, with the blade being about thirty-six inches in length. The sword was called a 'Tuck sword' and was primarily used to fight armored opponents, the sword seemed to be made of a white/grayish metal. The leather that was wrapped around the handle was dyed a deep blue and the pommel was shaped like a rose, the quillons were curved, the left one was curved towards the blade and the right one towards the handle.

A woman with shoulder length red hair was behind the counter, cleaning a glass with a wet piece of cloth. The cabinet behind her was stocked with various brightly coloured bottles, and an expensive looking scale stood on the counter. She looked like she was in her mid- to late twenties, a bit young for an innkeeper but Gavin didn't mind, and the place seemed successful. Her large tanned tits stretched the fabric of her black vest, and her moss green eyes peeked out from a pair of severely arched eyebrows to stare at Gavin.

When Gavin walked up to the counter, the red head shot the young man a friendly smile.
“Welcome to the Queen's Kiss, my name is Jeanne, how can I help?”

“N-Nice to meet you, I-I'm Gavin.” Gavin stammered, not really used to talking to women. “I-I would like a room, how much for one?”

“That depends, what kind of room do you want and how long are you planning to stay?” Jeanne told Gavin with a warm smile, noticing the young man's confused look Jeanne spoke up again. “We have normal rooms, deluxe rooms and suites.”

Gavin laid down the purse of golden coins the merchant gave him on the dark counter in front of him. “How long can I stay for this?” He asked, while Jeanne grabbed the pouch and emptied the gold coins on a scale near the counter.

“Hmm... a year and a half in a normal room, a year in a deluxe room and a half year in a suite, breakfast and dinner is included.” Jeanne told Gavin. “Now which room do you pick?”

Gavin wasn't sure how long it would take to make a name for himself, but he was sure that it wouldn't be done in a day. “A deluxe room please.” Gavin said, accepting the key Jeanne handed him.

“Your room is on the third floor, the first door to your right.” Jeanne told Gavin. “I will send a maid upstairs with your dinner in an hour.” Gavin nodded, and walked upstairs.

Opening the door to his room, Gavin admired the room. It consisted of a queen sized bed standing on a simple rug, a round table with four chairs around it, a wardrobe and a small bookcase. Gavin also noticed a small adjoining room, looking inside it he saw that the room was dominated by a large copper tub. Gavin took off his cloak and hung it over one of the chairs, then he took his backpack from his back and started unpacking. Gavin put his clothes in the wardrobe and placed the few books that he had taken from his uncle's library in the small bookcase, suddenly someone knocked on the door of his room.

Gavin realized that that would be the servant with his dinner, and he opened the door.
At the other end of the door stood a shapely brunette wearing a short black dress with red embroidery along her deep cleavage, the rest of her outfit consisted of fishnet stockings and black platform heeled shoes, as well as a black choker which had a pair of red lips displayed on them. Gavin grabbed the plate she was holding and shot her a friendly smile, he quickly placed it on the table, and then noticed that the brunette was still standing in the doorway.

“She must want a tip.” Gavin suddenly realized, and he grabbed another pouch of coins out of his cloak and grabbed a silver coin out of it. He walked up to the servant girl, and pressed the coin in her hand.

The servant girl was still standing in the doorway, staring at the coin. “You really are new in Tharros aren't you?” The servant girl asked, and Gavin nodded. The servant girl chuckled and walked off, closing the door behind her.

“What did she mean by that?” Gavin wondered, but instead of wondering about it any longer Gavin shrugged his shoulders and started his meal of potatoes, chicken and beans.

After he finished his meal, Gavin kicked off his boots and unclasped his sword belt placing it against the bed. After he took of his clothes, Gavin lied down on the bed and quickly drifted off into dream land.

The next morning...

Gavin woke up thanks to a loud knocking on the door, he got to his feet still half asleep and opened the door wearing only a loincloth. A short, but curvacious, blonde servant girl wearing the same outfit as her colleague from last night, was carrying a plate filled with food. She stared at Gavin for a while, her eyes resting on Gavin's long loincloth.

“Well...You're a healthy young man aren't you?” The blonde servant girl said, while she handed Gavin the plate filled with eggs, bacon and sausages. Gavin blushed and quickly walked off to grab a silver coin, which he then handed to the blonde. “Cassandra was right.” The blonde giggled. “You really are new in Tharros.” Then she walked off and closed the door behind her, Gavin shrugged his shoulder and quickly sat down to wolf down his breakfast.

After getting dressed and strapping on his sword belt, Gavin left the room and went downstairs. “Hello, how did you sleep Gavin?” Jeanne said, shooting Gavin a friendly smile.

“I slept great!” Gavin answered. “Do you happen to know about anything going on in the city by the way? I need to make some quick money.” Gavin lied, thinking that telling the red head that he was trying to make a name for himself so he could have a relationship with a rich woman would sound silly.

Just when Gavin had finished asking his question to Jeanne, a woman came walking down the stairs. Her long black hair was a bit of a mess, but that wasn't what caught Gavin's eyes. She was wearing a blue and white bustier that was pressing her huge tits upwards, and left most of her taut midriff exposed, her bottom was clad in a short blue skirt that barley covered her ass. Her feet were clad in thigh-high white stockings and knee length blue boots with six inch heels.

“Ah Felicia, how was your client?' Jeanne asked the raven haired beauty.

“He was good.” Felicia mumbled.

“Just good?” Jeanne giggled. “Normally your screams keep all our clients awake, and Gavin here said that he slept well.”

“Really?” Felicia said, looking the young man over, her eyes resting at the large bulge in his trousers. “It seems like I'm losing my touch, normally I would scream so loud that the rest of 'the Queen's' patrons would come into the room of the client I was servicing and fuck me silly.” Felicia giggled at how red Gavin's face had become. “It's a shame really.” She said as her hand ran up Gavin's cock, she quickly removed her hand though because it looked like steam would soon be shooting out of the young man's ears.

“Felicia, Gavin here is looking for a job.” Jeanne said to the woman. “Do you know any jobs that can make him some quick gold?”

Felicia looked Gavin over one more time, her eyes resting on the young man's sword. “I think I know of something, Gavin do you know what an Arakian tournament is?” Gavin shook his head, and Felicia grinned. “Well there is a tournament being held in the Kettle, if you follow me I'm sure that I can get you in.”

Gavin had no idea what an Arakian tournament was, or what 'the Kettle' was, but he could use the prestige and the money. “Alright, lead the way.” Gavin said to Felicia, and they both left the inn.
