Gab and some unsurprising news and an offer

You sleep peacefully for a good few hours, stiring slightly for a few moments, but not long enough to take in any information about what was going on. You didn’t notice when you and Gab were taken away from the arena, nor being scanned one of the medical wings to confirm that the various **** pumped into you and Gab were functioning as expected.

The reason you and Gab were out for the count was down to how much energy the various fertility enhancements were sapping from your body. One of the first things you and Gab were administered with were vitamin supplements to ensure that the changes that your bodies didn’t leave you deficient in anything. Naturally the various **** were forcing your body to do in hours what it’d normally do over several days.

When you did finally wake up, you were happy to see Gab was by your side, her strong green body embracing yours, leaving you feeling warm and safe. You enjoyed just lying there for a good few moments, watching your sleeping lover looking so peaceful. Eventually you notice the bio band attached to your wrist, and your curiosity piqued, you begin to check your surroundings.

You realise fairly quickly that you were in a medical wing, hell the bio band was probably the first obvious clue of that, but there was the sterile smell to the place. The smell of an absence of life on the microbial level, which granted is what you wanted in a medical facility, but the smell always filled you with an unease. You also notice that your mouth is quite dry, and you begin to look around for something to drink.

A medical drone buzzes by and does a quick scan of you, the holo reader flickering over you causing you to blink. The drone then chirps and flies off, you hear Gab stirring just behind you the drones chirp seems to of roused her from her sleep.

“Ahhh you’re both awake,” A familiar cold tone says.

You look over and see the Dutchess appear a big smile on her face, thankfully the sound of Gab moving behind you gives you reason to look away from her smug face.

“Mmmmm am I dreaming,” Gab says with a smile, her tone bringing a smile back to your face. She gets up stretching her hands over her head before she also notices The Dutchess. “So not the sexy kind of dream,” She adds turning to you with a sad look.

“Afraid not,” You say giving Gab a peck on the cheek.

“Such a touching scene for our new mothers to be,” The Dutchess says in a sweet tone.

“What do you want?” You ask taking a deep breath and looking over to the Dutchess.

“To come and congratulate you both, and to bring over a gift, consider it an olive branch for me tricking you both,” The Dutchess begins.

“Is it more **** food,” You ask with a sigh.

“No no nothing like that, its actually a job offer of sorts,” The Dutchess continues, pretending to brush a crease out of her pristine dress.

“What sort of Job?” You ask suspiciously.

“Nothing too untoward, something on my support staff to make sure the station runs smoothly,” The Dutchess replies in a casual tone.

“Why would we want to do that?” Gab asks sounding confused. “It’s not like we have to do much beyond one of the daily games,”

“True, but in your states you might not be able to keep that up, and besides I can’t imagine you’d want to raise your children in that small room,” The Dutchess replies. Her words make you move your hand down to your flat stomach in almost a defensive reflex.

“So what’s your proposal, say we accept and both take up a job supporting this place?” You ask.

“Firstly a full apartment suite, with enough space for you both to raise you children, as well as a greater level of freedom and of course being exempt from any future games,” The Dutchess replies.

“We’d be free to raise our children?” Gab asks looking over to you and touching your hand.

“Oh yes, as support staff you’d have the run of the facilities of the station, which includes school and play parks, it’s the closest you could get to a normal life without being free from here,” The Dutchess says.

“So how much work will we need to do?” You ask.

“Not too much, couple of hours a day at the most, enough to help out. I mean you’re no longer earning me anything from participating in the games, and you’re both eating for three now,” The Dutchess says with a smile.

“Three?” Gab asks looking at you.

“You’re both having twins,” The Dutchess confirms with a smile.

You look over at Gab, and see that she’s thinking along the same lines as you are given what would be happening in your lives soon. It was just too tempting of an offer to pass up.
