Escape through the library

The obscene sight of the prim sister Constance being brutally fucked by the daemon fills you with anger, but you cannot risk fighting such a large creature. You do not know the limits of this sword, or whether its power will even aid you now. You must get it to the Supreme War Mother and preserve your order. If that means sacrificing your own life, you will do it. Now it means abandoning another to her fate among the daemons.

"I'm sorry, Constance," you whisper and look away from the scene of her defiling.

You stay low and creep silently past the daemon and into the tall shelves of books. There is something moving a few shelves over, making pig noises as it roots through overturned books. You stay well clear of whatever this creature is and head straight for the wooden door to the stables behind the abbey. The door is broken inward and you climb quietly past the smashed timbers and escape into the diminishing light of evening.

There is a strange, translucent slime left on the ground as if the residue of some huge slug. You gingerly avoid stepping in it as you make your way to the barn. You can see the glistening trail leads to the main stable door. In the deepening shadows you see the huge bulk of something moving and you hear the soft, almost exhausted cries of a woman from that direction.

There is another way into the barn, a smaller door used by the horse-tenders. You might be able to go that way and then escape by jumping the horse out of the paddocks. In the mud in that direction you see numerous footprints. They are definitely not human.

It is a long way to Gerlangen. You have only been there once and it took nearly two full days by carriage. It could take you most of a week to reach the abbey on foot. Far too long for you to warn the sisters there. No, you must find a way into the barn and you must get Gisella's horse. But which way should you go?
