Enter the next chamber.

"The room stretches out before you, about sixty feet long, but only twenty-five feet wide. Besides a doorway on the opposite end, it's otherwise empty. But the first thing you notice is that the wall to your side is completely transparent, like a window, though not of glass. It's still as thick as stone. For some of you, it's at your right, but the others notice it at your left. The chamber your party members have entered is adjacent to your own. Not only that, but you can hear them clearly, as if no wall was present at all." As always, the mysterious voice narrates the situation. For you, it's the right-side you can see through. Niki, Amara, and Eva are present in an identical room.

Amara waves with a smile.

You wave back, but then look ahead of them to see something manifesting. It's a tall figure in the center of their chamber, made entirely of glowing green energy. It wields a mace in one hand, while its other is stretches out with the palm forwards. Slowly, a crackling sphere swirls up in front of the hand, and it's growing in size every second that passes.

"Look out!" you shout. "That creature is about to shoot something!"

"What creature?" Niki shouts back.

"Is that a joke?!"

But her eyes widen. "Speak for yourself, Kyle. Dodge!"

You snap your attention back to your own chamber, but nothing is there.

Meanwhile, though Niki is confused, she holds her shield forward.

At the same time, Eva grabs her arm and shouts, "I sense something coming!"

She doesn't hesitate. Niki musters up some of her small mana pool to cast a spell. "Titan's Bulwark!" Using this ability from her elite class, she calls forth a wide, rectangular barrier of energy, large enough to protect both of her allies with ease. The moment she does, the ball of green energy detonates against it. Just in time. Even though she was successful though, she looks both afraid and baffled. "Kyle was right. You too, Eva."

Your Kitty Sense screams in alarm. Just before something unseen can hit your skill, you reel back enough so that it collides with your armour as well. The impact still hurts, but it's far better than it could have been. Then you feel a hand grasp your upper arm, and attempt to swing you down to the ground.

"Oh shit," you say in realization. "Everyone! I think we can only see each other's opponent!"

Xiaoqing slides partly across the room, manifesting ice beneath her boots to swiftly reach the center. Then with her arms up, she does as she did in the prior chamber, though wider this time. It doesn't reach both walls, but she creates an arching barrier of ice to hopefully prevent the invisible foe from easily pulling back.

Then Snow leaps backwards and nocks an arrow. "Call it, and I'll shoot!"

You grunt and throw your weight back against your foe. "At least... I know where he is," you grumble with frustration. You glance to the side to see the green man now sprinting full speed towards your other party. "He's coming!" you warn. "Mace in his left hand, nothing in his right."

Niki glances backwards. "Easy one. Amara, buff me. If I use much more mana, I won't have any for the rest of this dungeon."

"Woah. Is this your character arc?" Eva asks.

"What does that mean--?"

"Bless!" Amara shouts with both hands on her ally's back. She accidentally lets out more of a whimper than she means to as the mana surges between her legs, but she manages to do as she was asked and bolster Niki's defenses. She then pulls back, and along with her comes Eva.

Niki, on the other hand, steps forth with her hands out to her sides.

The glowing green man brings his weapon right down onto her skull.

"Yeowch!" the sunheart cries, and stumbles for a moment. But she raises her shield and mace, and readiest herself for more. "Ugh. All right. I've got him. Hit me with that area of effect, baby."

"Wh-Why didn't you guard your head at least?" Eva shouts.

"No time for that!" she calls back, hiding the fact that she has no answer. "I can take another a hit, even if it's from you, Eva."

Amara then turns to your chamber with pink in her cheeks, but she gasps, snapping out of her haze when she sees you in danger. "The glowing red man is charging something, I think in the same way he was against us!"

I wonder...

You wrap your arms around him, and immediately you feel the heat and tingle of the swirling energy near your stomach. It's a risky gamble, but you squat your knees, aim yourself to the side, and you attempt to see what may happen if one were to Bunny Hop through the transparent wall, especially with the unseen opponent in your embrace.

As space warps around you, it reverts back just as quickly with a nauseating snap. Both you and your foe fall to the ground, and his attack is sent careening off to explode against the ceiling. You then feel a punch to your jaw. You reach to grab the arm that struck you, but it's no longer where you thought. So instead you **** yourself up, and knock him away enough to stand.

That feeling. It was just like that other time.

"I think I have a guess as to what's running this dungeon," you say. Then with a tap of your heel on the ground, you whisper the spell, "Flare Entangle".

You glance to the side just in time to see a stream of lightning from Eva's wand. It strikes Niki, and branches of energy fire out in every direction. The spell absolutely fries the glowing green figure, and after aggressively shaking, it hits the ground with a thud right at the warrior's feet.

"The ground!" you call out. "Right in front of you!" Then you turn your attention back to the ice wall ahead. Somewhere between it and you is your opponent.

Niki snickers, panting as smoke rises from her body. She leaps into the air, and drives her mace into the man so hard he shatters like glass, and her weapon continues through to crack the stone tile he was previously laying upon.

Then a few feet in front of you, bright burning blue tendrils erupt from the ground. They wrap around an invisible man, binding him in place as well as scorching his body. You retreat back and call out, "Snow!"

A series of arrows land in his back. You can definitely tell where he is now. Between the flaming ropes that have wrapped themselves around his torso as well as between his legs, three arrows now float in the air in front of you.

"I'll cool him down!" Xiaoqing yells as a barrage of small ice shards fire from her palms. Not only do they stick inside, but partway through, he begins to come apart as they **** their way through.

The figure burns and freezes, is pierced and pulled apart, until he shatters much in the same way as the other. You can't see it, but you're certain he's defeated.

"Major H-Heal!" you hear squeak from Amara's lips on the other side. With trembling knees, she begins to fall, though Niki catches grabs her first.

"I would have been fine with a minor one," she assures her.

"I have plenty of m-mana. It is fine. Now I must heal Kyle straight away."

"We still need our healer to be able to walk ya know."

The booming voice of the narrator fills the double chamber yet again. "Both the red and green soldiers have been defeated. You notice that now, the doors on each end of the room have opened ajar, beckoning you to continue forwards."

"I'm getting real tired of this chick," Niki says.

"Me too. But we better be careful. I'm pretty sure I know exactly that type of creature it belongs to. A Dungeon Lord. And either this one is a lot more capable than the last one we faced, or it's not working alone."
