Renée decided it would be better to get to searching the apartment for supplies and worry about the noise later. No sense looking for trouble when you could avoid it. She reached back and opened the door quietly, glad to find it unlocked, then backed in slowly. After closing the door quietly she turned around to investigate the apartment, finding half of it in darkness. The woman had boarded up some of the windows, and she could see what looked like unopened cans on the coffee table.
