Chapter 2 by magichat magichat

What ENF production do we follow?

ENF Adverts

Advertising can be a hard business, get the tone wrong and people will resent that precocious 30 seconds to a minute they had to watch your plug for your latest product. Companies need to sell their products, government's need to get out their public messages and these adverts need to stick in the head for the right reasons. To be catchy, memorable and come to mind at just the right moment.

Over here, we have had some ENF adverts (and spoof adverts), Ikea has done a few (not at house meeting so reluctantly at nudist camp, Spanish beach enf), the "when all you have is your smile" dentist advert, juiced, shiny suds and so on. However it not a regular thing. For ENF TV, marketing executives soon learned to give the viewers what they wanted in their adverts. ENF. The public resented moments that were not ENF on their channel meant for ENF.

So every advert became an ENF and with the success of ENF TV, the adverts got bigger budgets (particularly near special events like the superbowl) and the need to really stand out so celebrities became an increasing occurrence. Fighting against other big budget adverts, executives allowed almost anything to be tried (fantastical nightmares, public nudity and so on) to make theirs stand out and competed for the biggest stars.

You wanted to sell or get a message out there? Show what embarrassment might occur if you used a rival product/service (or didn’t use such things at all) or if you ignored warnings. Showing a moment where in the midst of embarrassment your product might still be useful (hey at least…) or how alluring the product is you might forget your clothes. If a luck based game use the luck of one that plays the game (and remains clothed) and one that doesn’t but has awful clothing luck, a government warning about the dangers of not locking your doors, a shampoo that makes you feel like your washing in the rainforest. A clever slogan "ensuring your always covered" or advertising a new feature ("a reminder that you left the washing door open") might send a new advert out there.

Some adverts were one off’s, repeatedly shown during it’s run then kept in the enf TV archive section for subscribers to access. Some did the same advert concept but tweaked it showing a variety of celebrity ladies in similar enf straits with the same message/product to sell so one might see two or three versions during the run. Others were almost mini stories of 3-5 adverts, showing the same lady, the same message or product, each enf advert building into the next, putting the same character in variety of situations that always ended in enf including a big finale enf advert that would end the run.

What advert and which lady?
