Dear Reader [Hub]

Dear reader,

Thank all, I don’t know, 20-30 of you for your continued interest in this burning car crash of a story (I know it’s actually somewhat good but I like to make things seem bad, it’s my kind of humour).

What is this? You may ask. To put it simply it is a side story hub.

To explain it slightly longer: Uklag will surely stay in the forest for a while (time wise, not Chapter wise) and I want to take the opportunity to do something I have long neglected: Side Character development. In the following, you will hear about the stories of Catherine, Meltzer, the twins, Celine, Droy, Alratha and even Tienal during our belovehated warlock’s absence. Goal is three chapters per character (Excluding Tienal, she gets one) spread each into their own sub-branch for easier navigating.

Now, if you don’t care about my side-character, first off: How dare you not care about words on a screen! Second off, that is alright, none of these stories should contain anything main story relevant (meaning that they do stuff that would happen offscreen otherwise) and are little story arcs finished in themselves. Only thing you may find in these are little sneak-peeks and world building I don’t have the time for in the main story line.

I hope some of you will enjoy it (Best case all of you) and that you don’t abandon me before I get back to Uklag.

Short description of the individual stories:

Meltzer - The treasurer got some last lines of instructions in the form of a letter. What is he supposed to do and what will he achieve?

The Twins - A normal day until the connection to Uklag suddenly gets interrupted. What does it mean? Is there something the twins aren't telling anybody?

Alratha - The maniacal assassin has a long look at herself. A necessary look as elements of her past suddenly resurface.

Zal - Cleaning up the mess that others leave behind isn't always easy. Never getting noticed makes it a lot less complicated though.

Droy - A chance presents itself to Droy, a chance he never thought he would have. He can leave behind all of this and life a happy life back at home.

Celine - A once proud girl contemplating her own fate.

Tienal - Coming to terms with who she is now and with what she lost.

Catherine - The jump into leadership isn't easy, but some people awaken to take it. Some people are able to lead. Some people are made for power.

Bonus Chapter - A scene of past tragedies, the crew takes a day off and visits a mask party to watch a play about the Witch of the South.
