Days go by, relationships improve.

Everything is normal during your date with Emma. You drink, talk, laugh and go back to her apartment to have sweet, passionate sex. Her lust score goes down from 100 to 70, which you take it as a sign she’s satisfied for the moment, but still very much hungry for you.

Of course, you haven’t been neglecting your new work out plan. You did your 20 minute jog on Saturday and then on Sunday when you got home. Add to that, after doing some internet research, you decide to make your own homemade weights to start lifting and you’ll use the wooden beams on the ceiling to do pull ups.

With your new goal of having a harem, you’re determined to not only improve your physical condition, but also get fit, build a bit of muscle. Anything to give you just another edge.

What’s more, Emily and Megan seem to have a lot of respect for you for sticking with the program. Their scores have improved over the one week of work out and tutoring.

Megan seems to be fonder of you than Emily, though she doesn’t show it much. She’s more comfortable talking to you at least, and that’s good enough for now. On her part, Emily has praised your dedication to the exercise routine, as she’s seen you jogging on a couple of occasions, but is also quick and harsh in reminding you not to get complacent just because you’ve lasted a week.

On Monday after school you have your work out with them. Your new goal of a harem makes you see these girls in a new light. You’ve always known they’re hot, but now you start noticing other things, like how Emily has a tendency to lick her lips before starting an exercise set and sticks her tongue out when concentration too hard on a math problem, or how Megan subconsciously twirls her hair when idle and hums when she’s jogging.

On Tuesday after school, you’re in the library, sitting at a small table doing the finishing touches to the material of that day’s tutoring session when something very strange suddenly happens.

You see none other than Katherine Brown, the cute redhead from the debate team, sit in the chair in front of you and leave a three-page document in front of you over your books. You give her a curious look, silently asking for an explanation to what this is and what she wants.

“Ms. Owens said that if I wanted feedback I should ask you first,” She tells you with an aggressive frown. “Since you’re the one that tore my presentation apart.”

Oh, she’s still sore about that. Well, the least you can do is read… whatever this is. Good thing you’re a fast reader.

It doesn’t take you long to see it’s a rewrite of her arguments from Friday’s debate. It seems she actually took your feedback to heart, because every single complaint you had about her data has been fixed, along with wording them in a way that Sophia’s counter-arguments couldn’t have happened.

“Yeah, this is better. You basically fixed everything I said was wrong.” You tell her.

She remains silent, looking at you expectantly, as if waiting for you to continue. Well, you don’t have anything else to say, at least nothing she might want to hear.

“…What, that’s it? No telling me what I did wrong, what I have to fix, how I could’ve done better?”

What? Does she…? Okay, let’s try something.

“This is after-debate revision. Of course it’s going to be better than what you did that day. At your level, I’d expect nothing less.” You tell her, and she seems taken aback. Her frown disappears and her eyes widen a bit, but you continue. “You need to ask yourself these questions before the debate happens. What are my weakest arguments? What data can I find that can make them stronger? What are the most reliable sources? If you can do that without falling into an endless cycle of arguing and counter-arguing against yourself, then you’ll definitely improve. You already have great expository skills. Your research just needs to go through a more thorough process.”

Okay, you might have said too much, but you like debating, and this girl is one of the best you’ve seen. She’s definitely better than anyone at your high school.

Katherine remains silent, taking her document and flipping through its pages. After some time, she speaks again.

“How do I avoid that cycle? How can I improve my research process?” She asks seriously.

For about an hour, you speak with Katherine, throwing ideas back and forth. She seems honestly passionate about this, in a way that you can’t help but deeply respect. After a while, you hear the bell indicating club activities are over. Katherine seems surprised. It seems she didn’t notice time go by.

“It’s late.” She clicks her tongue. “Well, I’ll talk to Ms. Owens tomorrow.” She says to herself. “See you around, David. I’ll bring you my next essay so you can give it a look.” With that, she leaves.

Huh? What? Since when did you become friends?
