Curiosity is a strong suit... right?

You could make any sort of argument you wanted to yourself, about pursuing glory or protecting the forest near your village... but deep down you know that you are following the tracks to satisfy your own curiosity. The tracks wind their way uphill, pausing at every berry bush along the way. Whatever this creature is, it’s somewhat intelligent and not solely a carnivore. This only piques your curiosity more, as you carefully follow along.

Eventually the tracks lead to a cave entrance. To your surprise it doesn’t smell like most monster lairs do, of BO and bile. Instead a pleasant aroma wafts from the small stony entrance, a mixture of berry and flowers. In only two breaths of the fragrance you begin to feel lightheaded, and suddenly your light gear feels enormously heavy. You feel over encumbered, and want to strip yourself of everything...
