Critical success

You are just about to drop your weapon, when you realize something is incredibly wrong. You shake your head, and to your surprise it clears instantly! Maybe you detected it before it could hold, but whatever trap that was felt oddly easy to resist. You wonder if this is a set up, or this monster might be easier to deal with than you feared.

You decide to risk it, hoping it’s the latter, and that you can even catch it unaware. Steeling yourself, you have your knife at the ready, the best weapon of the cave is narrow, and clump through the stony hole.

The original smell dissipates as you work your way through the tunnel. Clearly it was designed to protect the entrance, not the entire cave. You continue in, the tunnel darkening until it opens into a large caver, maybe fifty yards across and 20 yard in height. The cavern is covered in blue crystals, sapphires or something similar. You wonder if they are magical, as the entire cavern is lit in a blue hue. A small creek runs down a wall and across the floor, with plants along the creek bed. On the far wall, decorated in many picked and grown petals flowers was a stone throne... and it was empty.

You cautiously approach the throne, careful for other traps. But it’s just as it seems, it is simply empty. As you reach the throne, you see that behind the wall of flowers was another room. You steel yourself as you approach, knife in hand. But as you push the sweet curtain away, you see a beautiful lair, but still no monster. The stone walls were covered in red velvet, with black rugs in different corners. One corner seemed to be a magical study, with bowls filled with ingredients and flasks of potions on a primitive desk and shelves. Another corner was filled with pillows on a raised nook. In the middle of it all was a wooden spanking bench, topped with thin pillows and black leather. Honestly, this was more advanced than you were expecting, you thought this would be a monsters lair, but this looks more like a witch’s sex pad. Well, whatever lives here is away, meaning you could prepare an ambush… or you could look for clues, and maybe a weakness.
