Cheating

The large manila envelope had photographs and transcripts of text messages. "You cheated with my boyfriend?!" said an angry Kimberly.

The judge banged her gavel. "Keep your voice down, counselor."

Suzy got up and walked to the stand.

Kimberly took the stack of documents and photos and stormed up to the witness stand. "Where were you the night of April 17th?"

"Um, that was a while back, and I'm...well...."

"You are under oath, Miss Wilson," said Kimberly. "Maybe this will refresh your memory. Let me read some text messages you sent that afternoon."

"Objection, your honor," said Halle. "The defense has not seen this evidence."

"Overruled," said the judge. "This is my court, and I decide the rules. Continue prosecutor."

"Allow me to read: Kimberly is out of town. Let's fuck. This was sent at 2:34 from Suzy to a Tom. Which Tom was that?"

"Uh, Tom Philpot."

"And is that the same Tom Philpot I was in a relationship with?"

Suzy nodded.

"Answer the question."
