Cavern of Eyes

"This way..." You hold a hand out to Nealie, who takes it with a smile. It seems that she's about as lucid as you. In fact, you wonder if she's not exactly as lucid as you are, since her soul is now bound to yours. The pair of you begin to walk without a clear destination, but your wandering path keeps taking you nearer and nearer to a sheer cliff edge. There, you see a slit in the wall facing. It's darker there, but perhaps its protected from the passion of this realm.

You reach a steep hill, and after attempting to descend it yourself, your foot lets out a terrible crackle as it meets hard stone. You glance down to see a new hairline fracture spread across your fragile form, it's a sickening sensation, even knowing that it's supposed to heal. Nealie responds instinctively, and hops down before you, helping you with the larger steps.

You're not sure how long you're walking. One moment you're descending the hill, the next you're at the cliff face, and the jagged hole. Taking one anothers hands, you and Nealie enter, and as you suspected your mind begins to clear. The wails and moans of lust and passion from outside are dulled, and even the air seems a little more crisp, and clear... Though despite the safety, and clarity of your mind, you see something that gives you pause... Eyes... a dozen, then a hundred, each gazing upon you curiously. One blinks, then another, and then they begin to squint as if tittering in amusement. The eyes are white, and large, and round. If it weren't for the fact their form is obscured from you, they'd almost seem friendly.
