Somebody is gently shaking you by the shoulder right now.

Zzzzzzzz.............

They're picking up the pace a bit.

ZZZZZZZ!!!

Now it feels like they're in the early wind-up stages of taking your arm off at the shoulder. Argh, fine! You open your eyes, head still flat sideways on the top of your desk, and scowl at the one responsible. After a few disorientated seconds of blinking away the brightness of the room, it sort of took away from your dramatic scene.

"WHAT?" You half-shout, shutting your eyes again when they take too long to adjust and the light starts to hurt a bit. You still make sure that your mouth and eyebrows look angry, though.

"A-ah...." Miranda's voice says, and you feel the hand pulling away from your shoulder. "C-class is over, now.... we've got a study period and then lunch time....."

You open your eyes again and sit up, looking around the room, blinking a few more times. Class is over? You do feel a bit more well rested, so that sort of makes sense. The room looks like it's mostly been vacated, with only Miranda and Lexi still hanging around at the minute. There are still a few things written on the board at the front, but... wait, Lexi?!

"Lexi!" You greet her, reaching up to rub at your eyes and smiling before you can remember that you're supposed to be all mad right now.

She's sitting on top of her desk, the one right behind yours as usual, and shoots you a peace sign. She's in casual clothes instead of school uniform, but it sort of takes you a second to even notice that. So she's back at classes again, now! Beside you, Miranda takes a half-step back with a sheepish look.

"C-couldn't you have woken her? She seems pretty happy to see you...."

Lexi flaps her hand up and down dismissively, lifting her chin into the air. "I would never interrupt another woman's sleep. It's against everything I stand for."

You blink a bit more as your eyes finally fully adjust, and look around the room. You notice that your bag is gone, which worries you for a second before you're told that Cameron just carried it back to your room after class ended. You yawn deeply and stretch.

"By the way, Prof Ben says he's not gonna let any of us sleep in his class again after this. So thanks a lot for cashing in that ticket before I got to use it." Lexi says, only half joking. She looks at the nervously standing Miranda and does a little encouraging gesture. "Miranda?"

"R-right." Miranda stammers, stepping back closer to you again and holding out a workbook that she'd been clutching to her chest with both hands. "S-since you were asleep for the class, and exams are going to be really hard, I wrote some extra notes for you. Y-you know, in case you'd like to.... s-study them or something like that."

"She basically broke her wrist, the speed she was going at." Lexi adds. "And she had to run all the way back to our room to get a blank workbook for it, too. Super dedicated friend stuff."

She leans off the edge of the desk she's sitting on to tok Miranda on the arm. Miranda seems confused but appreciative, regarding the tok.

"O-oh. Thank you!" You say, taking the book from her outstretched arms. You flip open the first page to have a look, and -- wow. Wow!

The first four pages are all covered in really really detailed notes for you, but not only notes! She's also drawn really detailed diagrams with a surprising amount of artistic talent, and the whole thing is colour coded. She even did words in red for the first time they're mentioned, with a little box in the margin of the page to define them all. You can only flip through the pages for now, but reading the first few sentences of the first page, it also looks like she's tried pretty hard to not make it all complex and impossible to understand, even if she came up short here and there and let a scientific term slip on accident....

"Miranda, this is great!" You say, smiling widely down at the page. You rub the last bit of sleep out of your eyes. You should pass out in classes more often, this is really top notch stuff! "Thank you so much!"

Miranda's face goes beet red, and she gives you a little nod before backing up to hide in the crowd that does not exist. Lexi raps her hands against the table she's sitting on.

"Hey, I should probably go get used to my new digs, since our room got cleaned and all." She says to Miranda. "Find where stuff is and everything. I'll see you two later!"

Miranda's eyes go big and she looks over to the smiling and waving and rapidly leaving Lexi with terror, before staring down at the ground in silence. You sit in your chair, workbook in hand, staring down at the top of your desk in silence. Yeah..... well, maybe you'd better go have your lunch now.

Lexi peeks her head back through the door again.

"HeyWhyDon'tTheTwoOfYouStudyTogetherToCatchDebbieUpBYE"

She disappears into the hallway again. Miranda looks up at you with questioning eyes, and you hold the book steady.
