Busting the Burglars Part 2

Once Evelyn finally got Sharon to a holding cell, it was about lunchtime. Despite her best efforts, she failed to get her to talk. Despite that, she was starting to get a picture of what was going on. She took Sharon as being the getaway driver, and that whoever was getting inside was either a boyfriend or a friend. He had knowledge of security systems, and was also rather slight build-wise.

Her first move was to talk with her other boss, John Coleman, the regional manager for Sentry Security Solutions. The two sat down at the Corner Coffee House, where John said "So Evelyn, you said you had something to ask me?"

"Yeah. Hate to make this a business call."

"Not a problem."

"It's about the break-ins."

"What is it?"

"This guy knows what he's doing. He's cut all three systems."

"You think it's one of ours?"

"Maybe. I've got a description of the suspect here." Evelyn handed John a piece of paper from her notepad.

"I'll make a check. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Has this guy hurt anyone yet?"

"Actually he ran when confronted."

"Seems a bit odd for a security guard. I mean as much as I'm glad no one's been hurt, I'd like to think our guys won't run at the first sign of trouble."

"True, but ****'s going to draw a lot more attention, plus more time in jail."

"Guess so. Well I'll keep my eye out anyway."

"Thanks. I appreciate you taking the time out today."

"No problem."

The two proceed to eat lunch and exchange small talk before going their separate ways. Inside her cruiser, Evelyn tried to narrow down the list of suspects in her mind. She'd never seen anyone at the company who would fit the description, but that didn't mean anything. The perpetrator could easily be a friend or a relative who learnt a thing or two.

Unable to come up with the answer, Evelyn ended her shift and drove home, where she put all that aside for the one thing she'd been waiting for all day: Spencer Askren.
