The venerable Tycoon genre has seen plenty of X-rated entries over the years, most of them have been nothing more than cheaply churned out clickers that would barely excite even the most sex starved gamer. Tiny sprites and paradoxically censored sex all conspired to make the sub-genre a laughing stock.

However there is one that has managed to escape that, despite the generic as all hell name it has managed to carve out a reputation for both depth and filth.

Unlike most of the sims in the genre Brothel Tycoon aimed to simulate running a high class knocking shop. Unlike most of the other games around it took time to make sure that you could get to know the men and woman working for you.
