Broomi uses the bath to reflect and pray, then receives an answer from an unlikely source

Broomi collected her sulky brother from the other room after finishing her bath and changing back into a fresh nun's habit. She tried to ignore the way he kept stealing glances at her bath-soaked, bushy brown hair and how he subtly shifted his walk so that the front of his lap wouldn't poke against his pants.

Thankfully, the two didn't have to go far to meet Mikkel; he lived just next door on the bottom floor of a giant apartment building. Normally, people moved right past his workshop and kept going upstairs. The door, composed of some substance like marble that looked totally out of place next to the rest of the building, was framed on either side by cherub statues and stark white stone. It was the kind of sight that begged curiosity, prompting many to knock to try and meet him... but he never answered their call, seemingly. Broomi hoped this time would be different.

The plucky church confessor approached, dragging her brother behind herself; he was newly redressed in an unassuming brown tunic, long trousers, short black boots, and matching gloves. Broomi ignored his dubious frown as she rapped on the stone door hard with her knuckles. "Heeeey! Mikkel! If you're in there, I've got someone who wants to talk to you!
