Chapter 23 by MissNix MissNix

Sit at the stools, booth, or does nature call first?

Booth of course!

"We'd like a booth at the end please." G'sky says politely. She nods and takes you both towards the end and sets menus down at the table.

"Wave me ova' when your ready dears." She says as she walks back over to the front to ask the old man at the last stool if he'd like his coffee refilled.

"Please, feel free to take a look at the menu. Let's order first and then continue getting to know each other." G'sky says as he hands you the menu.

You look over the menu but the item that seems the most appealing is waffles with mixed berries. You weren't into fruits normally, but today, you craved them. That and a cup of coffee.

The waitress comes back and takes both your orders. You are surprised that he ordered a kid's meal mac and cheese dinner and a slice of apple pie.

After the waitress leaves you to give him a smile and say, " I hope those waffles get here quick. I'm starving!"

He smiles at you and nods. His hand taps out a beat on the table lightly.

"What do you do for a living?" You find yourself asking him.

"I'm a mechanic by trade, and I also hang out with my crew, well, G'sly's crew."

That's awesome. Did you build that car outside?

"Yeah. I repaired it and bought it on the cheap. The motor roars like a kitten don't it?" he chuckles.

"I mean it's pretty fast, and sounds like a beast. It's pretty impressive."

He smiles at you.

"So what have you experienced as a woman already Blake?"

You think for a moment. "I've taken pictures of myself, went to the bathroom, sat, and currently I'm having a date with a hunk."

"So you didn't uh.... explore down there yet?"

"No... not yet."

"Either way Blake, it sounds like you have a lot more to experience this weekend.

"Make a list, and I'll do them." You find yourself saying casually. "Or we could do them together too."

You added that in there, you so far were drawn to G'sky. Something about him, made you feel like a million butterflies were screaming to be let out. It feels so naive and young, so childlike but yet, so profoundly serious.

Do you ask him about what is special about the place? Or do something else?
