Chapter 2 by dead_account dead_account

Which ability do you pick?

Blue- Universal Acceptance (Super Hero Path)

"I look forward to seeing what you'll do, John Doe."

You wake up with a jolt, gasping for breath. And then you immediately regret doing that, as the sudden swift motion causes your head to pulse violently, forcing you to carefully lay back down.

You groan as you rubbed your forehead, trying to ease the nausea that threatens to make you lurch the contents of last night's dinner onto the your clothing.

"What the hell happened last night?"

Steady, steady now. You raise your head just a little bit and **** your eyes open once more.

You wince, realizing just how bright the sun was as it shined through your window.

You looked at your surroundings. You were on the couch of the apartment you were living in. Bottles of expensive looking champagne littered the ground around you, with two of those fancy looking elegant beer glasses strewn on the table in front of you.

Ah. So this unbearable headache of yours was a byproduct of last night's drinking session. That explains it.

"I'm never drinking anything alcoholic again..." You lie to yourself, knowing that you'll be doing this song and dance all over again for the next special occasion.

You close your eyes again, and you take the time to try remembering what you did yesterday to warrant such over-usage of expensive champagne that you know for a fact that you couldn't ever afford in your life.

Okay, let's see... Yesterday was a big day... It was a big job interview for that thing you always dreamed of having... You had prepared weeks ahead for the interview, but you were still a nervous wreck despite it all. You somehow managed to finish the interview without embarrassing yourself, and they promised to call you later that night to let you know about their decision.

You went home after that, but your nerves got the better of you and you began having self-doubts about yourself. You kept thinking to yourself that you did terribly, you weren't going to get the job, you wasted everyone's time, generally a whole bunch of negative thoughts that kept you restless for the entire evening. But then came the phone call that you had been waiting for.

You had never sprinted as fast as you did for anything in your entire life, your speed rivaling that of athletic world champion Usain Bolt. When you picked up the phone and heard their message, words couldn't describe how you felt.

Your apartment roommate and best friend, Alice, came home from her office job to find you hyperventilating on the couch with a phone clutched tightly against your chest.

Like the worried friend that she was, she immediately went to check up on you to find out what was wrong. But with an excited and reassuring smile, you told her the good news.

"I got the job!"

"You got the job?" She repeated.

"I GOT THE JOB!"

"OH MY GOD YOU GOT THE JOB!"

The two of you had jumped and bounced and squealed like high school girls that were told they were going to a One Direction concert.

To celebrate the occasion, Alice went to her room to bring out a box of extravagant looking champagne bottles, much to your surprise. She had explained that she had been saving up money and buying single bottles each time she got the chance, and wanted to save it for anything special that would happen.

Popping off a cork and pouring the two of you a drink, you and your best friend partied all night long, playing loud funk music and pretending to be millionaires.

Everything after that was hazy though... The only other thing you remembered was... some sort of mysterious voice... And two orbs of blue and red, and something about picking a choice between being accepted or ceasing to exist?

What a weird dream.

That's all you can seem to remember though. Figuring you took enough time to rest away your hangover, you decided that it's a good idea to get up early and maybe find something to drink besides more ****.

Even though you really didn't want to get up, you pushed yourself to fight against the pain and stand up on your feet, heading to the kitchen.

Grabbing a cup, you turned on the sink and poured yourself a nice glass of water, and proceeded to gulp it all down with greed.

You noticed that despite hanging out with Alice for the entirety of last night, she doesn't seem to be around when you woke up. You could go check up on her to make sure she wasn't too wasted, but if she isn't around then there's a chance that she's already woken up before you and decided to let you stay asleep as she went about her day. Maybe you should go get yourself cleaned up instead, you breath must stink from all the **** and a nice relaxing shower feels good right about now.

So, what do you wanna do?
