You walk right up to the "boss."

"Hey man, you look like you run shit around here, we gotta talk about the plants."

He appears less annoyed at the interruption than you imagined he would. It throws you off a bit, but you continue: "Like, my man, this city isn't that big. We should have more shade and shit. You got a couple of trees around the place but it's kinda random, yeah, you gotta do better."

"Use the suggestion box, then."

"What, that actually goes somewhere?"

"Nobody uses it. We might not agree with a request, but we read the few that we receive." The large man shrugs. He is imposing. You get a sense of his strength as you examine him. It's no wonder he's not bothered much by you, this guy has seen some shit.

"Oh, uh, yes sir." He's so calm and self-assured that you almost forget your mission, but you can see a key ring under his blazer. You need a few seconds to study it. "Have any of them been about the trees?"

"I don't think so, but we have a landscaping budget. Plants get rearranged a lot. I can pass on a request to the company that does it."

"Oh, uh, yeah that makes sense, thank you for your time, sir."

The man turns back to Ella. He has been patient, but not especially courteous. He rightly assumes that you are not bold enough to interrupt him again.

You have copied him and his keys. You tried to focus on his fingers.
