A fingerprint scan? Do your copies have perfect fingerprints?

It wouldn't hurt to learn more. "Where is the safe? Whose fingerprint?"

"You're a dumbass. You're going to get me in trouble and you killed. Leave it fucking alone."

Fine, it could hurt to learn more, but you still have the urge.

It's not hard to find out who Ella answers to. He isn't hiding.

The main office for the company that owns your apartment complex is a short distance north of your own unit. It's a local company with four apartment complexes around town, you figure they can't have too many people in their chain of command.

You watch the office for a while and copy some random useful items. After a couple of hours, a heavyset bald man in his 40s leaves the parking area with a nice car and two passengers. He drives straight to the office of your building and parks in a "staff only" spot.

You hurry to catch up.

The men have been in the office for a few minutes by the time you arrive. Ella is carefully controlling her reactions to them, and she doesn't react to your presence.
