At the roof

“I won’t be able to bring you all the way there.” Doe says. “Before I could use divine magic, which all angels have, and enhance my strength to carry armor. But the ward you put up to prevent me from escaping prevents me from doing so.”

“Perhaps now is then a good time to tell you what I’ve been doing this morning.” You smirk. “I’ve taken down the ward.”

Doe turns her head to you and looks at you wide eyed. A gust of wind blows her blonde-brownish hair into her face which she quickly pulls back. Then she takes a breath and cast s magic spell. For a moment her body is engulfed in bright white light. Then she wraps her arms around you and picks you up bridal style. As you look down you can see your tower, the city surrounding it, your lands, the farmers living around the city and working the fields, your entire domain. It is all so beautiful from up here.

“Do you like it?” Doe asks.

“I do.” You say. “I’ve never seen my lands from all the way up here.”

“The land does not belong to you, John.” The angel replies.

“I know that.” You say a bit annoyed at her pedantic comment. “But in our human hierarchy it is my task to govern it and see it is used the best way possible.”

Doe smiles and says, “In that case, you’ve done a good job. It’s a very beautiful land.”

You angel continues gliding with you through the sky until eventually the two of you find your way back to the tower. There Doe lands and puts you back to the ground.

“It was fun flying with you.” Doe says. “I enjoyed our trip.”

“Same for me.” You reply. “I wouldn’t mind flying with you again.”
