Chapter 8

What's next?
Argument over, Ruby returns to the dorm.
"Well, are you done?" said Ruby, standing there, impatiently tapping a finger against her crossed arms.
Cardin stood by, glaring with a mixture of frustration and confusion. He was still unaware of and equally unaffected by Ruby's new gift.
Was she just messing with him? To say that Faunus loved the animal treatment may not have been something he'd vehemently deny, as they probably did deep down. However, he knew that the naive, sunshine-and-rainbows Ruby Rose would never say that unironically. She would probably say something like, "no matter what obvious differences we have, we're all equals," or some other corny crap like that.
If she was going to just be petulant, he had better things to do than waste his free time.
"Y'know what. Fine. It's obvious this convo's not gonna change anything, so I'm done wasting my time. Later, girl scout."
Walking out the door, Cardin left Ruby alone in the empty classroom.
Ruby looked on, defiantly at where Cardin had left. It was just like him to walk out the second his toxic views were challenged. And she would have been willing to hear him out, too, (as any Beacon chick would, of course).
Sticking her tongue out to the door, Ruby let out a snarky comment, "Shows what you know, Cardin. It's obvious this talk has changed things, so there."
And that was certainly true, even without Ruby having to announce it into being.
With nothing else to do, Ruby finally made the journey back to the RWBY dorm room. It wasn't an eventful walk but it gave Ruby a chance to calm her head and clear her thoughts. The argument between her and Cardin had been so short and pointless, yet Ruby really felt it had made a difference, somehow.
Only an arms length away from the door to their room, Ruby heard the unmistakable voice of Weiss.
"NO BLAKE. WE'VE GOT TO DRAW THE LINE SOMEWHERE!"
What was this about? Thought Ruby, as she made for the door. Out of one argument and right into another. It's a tiring day, for the ol' Rubster.
Entering the room, Ruby saw that all three of her team mates were there. Yang leaned against the wall, adjacent to the window. Weiss sat on the desk chair. Blake sat on her bed, wearing no clothing besides a pair of panties and a bra.
The sight of Blake in her underwear did not surprise Ruby at all now, as Blake had begun to forgo certain articles of clothing and spend more and more time presenting her 'Feline' body, whenever they were in the privacy of the RWBY dorm, for months now, at this point. Even her bow was abandoned, but always kept close-by in case of an emergency arrival. According to her, since animals are expected not to wear clothes, Faunus like her enjoy going naked now and again. Supposedly, nudity was very common in Menagerie homes. Blake would have gone completely naked, if the girls had let her. Unfortunately for the Cat Faunus, Weiss was a stickler for SOME expectation of modesty among teammates.
"What's going on?" asked Ruby, closing the door quickly behind her, so no passerby would get an accidental peak at the partially dressed Faunus girl.
"I-it's nothing," said Blake, a bit of embarrassment lighting her cheeks.
"It sure isn't nothing, Blake," said Weiss, before turning to her team leader, "Apparently, Blake doesn't want to use our toilet anymore."
Ruby was perplexed at the implication.
Was there something wrong with their plumbing? Would she rather use JNPR's toilet?
Blake shone red with shame as she tried to defend herself to the ignorant team leader: "It's not like that. I don't have a problem with the toilet. It was just... well... I thought it be fun to... um..."
Witnessing the Faunus' falter, Weiss spoke on her behalf.
"Blake suggested we got a litter box for the room," she said, obvious disgust lining her features.
Yang broke her silence: "Weiss. Don't be mean about it."
"It's revolting, Yang. It is unhygienic, first of all. Secondly, think of the smell. Plus, imagine the nightmare it would be to..." Weiss retched, before continuing, "change it."
"You never owned a cat, I'm guessing," said Yang.
"Look," said Weiss, "I was perfectly willing to accept Blake for being a Faunus back on the pier and evaluate my biases. I just didn't expect the 'animal treatment' stereotype to actually be so true. All the head pats; the nakedness: it's just been a culture shock. I like to think I've been very patient up until now. However, I am not going to allow a messy box of shi- uh- leavings anywhere in this room. Blake's enjoyment is not more important than our well-being and comfort."
Turning to Ruby, Weiss asked their leader for her opinion, praying that she'd take her side. Surely, Ruby wasn't so idiotic that she'd let Blake shit in sand in front of them all.
"What say you, Team Leader?"
"Well..."
What "Absolutely Correct" answer does Ruby give?
