4th Litordae, 25th day of the month of Semens (Sem), the 3672nd year of Salvation's Landing

Reglin grabbed the magicked scroll and rolled it up onto the ornate batons and then deposited it back into the beautifully carved scroll case and sealed it. Stowing into his belt on his back allowed the tabard to hang over it and hopefully would not draw too many questions about such a fine piece of work. Reglin was already working out in his head what he may say if he was asked. He would just have to see.

Once secured, Reglin turned and strode out of Tabitha's office and headed for the giant doors that led to the Palace halls. He called out, rather loudly, "I will return in the evening, Magistricia! I do look forward to once again learning much from you!" His face held a wide grin that he could not help as he teased his former and future teacher.

Reglin stopped to listen to Tabitha, when he heard her speak from a distance, probably in some aisle of books, saying, "If you keep this up, young man, the only lessons you will be getting will be writing sentences. Improve your frame of mind and return with some maturity if you are going to visit me tonight. If you cannot, save both yourself and me some time and stay away!" 'Wow!' he thought, 'I think she might be upset truly. Now, the question is: Was she upset with him for the teasing? Was she upset with him for so radically transforming their previous relationship? Or was she upset with herself for allowing herself to invite such a radical transformation of their previous relationship...' Well, 2 out of the 3 options that he had come up with did not favor him, so he replied with a respectful, "Duly noted, my lady. Farewell." And with that, he reached for the door, opened, and headed out into the halls in search of the guards he was to shadow today.

After asking about the tandem he was looking for to some of the other staff in the house, Reglin found that the two guards had headed out back to relieve the Patrol for their first break. Reglin did not run, but he did quick-step his way out the back of the palace. Turning to the right and using the service path, he made his way out to the perimeter path and followed that toward the back of the estate.

It did not take Reglin long to see Lim and Boll walking along the fenceline. From a distance it appeared that the two were chatting as they were on a leisurely stroll. From what he had heard as he approached, they really only spoke of trivial day-to-day matters. Reglin slowed up his quickened pace as he took to walking a few feet behind, but directly between them, making a triangle formation between the three of you.

Lim turned to regard Reglin as Reglin fell into step with his comrades, "It's about damn time you catch up to us!" his voice at what seemed to be his normal volume of 'very loud'. "Beginning to wonder what may have happened to you. Then again, if I was called to the Magistricia I might make excuses to extend my stay in her presence. Quite a beaut, she is... If you don't mind the Magick-user ladies. Which I don't, of course." His wide mouth grinned a toothy grin. "And I'm sure that's what you did too, eh Reg?" The grin vanished just like that and Lim's brow furrowed, "You don't mind if we call you Reg, do you?"

Reglin, for his part was trying to take in everything the man said in such a short breath. Lim was a bit of a fast-talker. He shook his head, acknowledging Lim's question regarding the use of Reg. But it might prove to be difficult for Reglin to get his points in. But he was smiling as Lim brought up the beauty of Tabitha and tried his best to not blush, "You caught me, Lim!"

Lim guffawed a belly laugh at that, "I knew it!" while Boll just grunted a short chuckle with a smirk. The two seemed to be complete opposites, but it seemed the two got along swimmingly.

"But seriously, I was a student of hers in my youth. She taught me how to read and then continued it further into other scholarly subjects out of the goodness of her heart. I owe her a great deal. But I guess she was just curious as to how her former pupil had fared in the past 5 years and excited to see him." Reglin just shrugged, trying to act as though all of it was just exactly that, "I guess wants me to continue my schooling in my off hours. We'll have to see. Going to give it a shot tonight and hopefully I can function in the morning."

"Ho-ho-ho-hoooo! Night lessons for the new blood on his first day? I see how it is... Make the rest of us look bad." the grin was now back on Lim's face while Boll's own smile widened just a bit beyond a smirk.

"Sorry Lim, it's not me that makes you look bad... That would be your face." Reglin jests with a smile. Boll gives a true laugh at the barb thrown at his partner, while Lim feigns shock and hurt, "My Gods, man! Have you no care for your brother in arms? Plus, I know you're just joking. After all, I looked in the mirror this morning. That was evidence enough.!" The wide man laughed some more at his own expense. Reglin liked Lim. A man should be able to be self-deprecating. It was skill that was an easy way to set others at ease.

Lim turned forward and continued their easy stride, "Okay, come on. Let's finish up our route..."
