I feel an intense pain in my chest. I look down to see three spears piercing my chest. They're coming from three separate piles of the Slime Rulers slime. I Blink away and cast Healing Hands.

I Blink again to dodge another spear. I see the slime starting to gather around one place and get an idea. I Multicast Dark Cutter and send them to the place the Slimes are gathering at. They pass through the slime without hitting the core.

I look down to see another spear going through my leg. Clairvoyance activates and shows me an image of a spear piercing my head. I duck down while cutting the spear in my leg. I jump back to get some distance. I look around for where the slimes are gathering. I find a few places where they're gathering and get an idea. I decide to wait for them to gather. Then I use Annihilation Energy to destroy it. I start dodging the spears while the slime gathers into four separate piles.

I stop to read the notification and get hit by another spear. It cuts into my hip but doesn't pierce my body.

I Blink away to get some distance. I have 539 HP left. I can take another spear but that's it. The slimes not gathering anymore. It's stopped with four piles. They're spaced a few feet apart. I should have enough mana to hit three of them if I use my Katanas mana recovery ability. I should be able to Blink a few times with what's left, but it's a risk. I think before drawing my Ancient Beast Katana. I use its ability to recover 500 MP before sheathing it. I start charging the Slime Rulers slime piles. I dodge another spear aimed at my head. I reach the first pile and cast Annihilation Energy. I make the energy engulf the pile of slime and see it disintegrate. Unfortunately, the core wasn't in it so I run for the other piles. The Slime Ruler seems to be scared. It's attacking much faster now. I assume it thought that Devour was the only skill I had that could harm it. I dodge a few more spears and get close enough to the second pile. I cast Annihilation Energy and destroy it as well. It dissolves and the Slime Ruler keeps attacking. I jump back and look at the remaining piles.

"Master! How many cores are left?" I hear Innu shout. I turn to see she's flying out of range of the spears.

"Only one! It's in one of the piles but I don't know which. I don't have enough mana to destroy both though! I can only get one more." I shout back while stepping out of its range myself. Before Innu can say anything I feel Luna jump on my back. She wraps her hands around me.

"Take mine Alpha! I barely used it." She says and I smile.

"Thank Luna." I say while casting Mana Fusion. Just to be safe I only take 300, but I stop a bit early getting 292 MP. Luna lets go after feeling me stop and I run toward the Slime Ruler. The slime piles each grow two whips. However, the whips are smaller than the ones from earlier. I still have to Blink twice to get next to the slime pile. I cast Annihilation Energy and destroy it. I don't destroy the core and have to dodge another whip. I rush to the last pile. I cut the whip in two and slide under the other. I cast Annihilation Energy destroying it and smile, seeing a damage notification.

I store the drop as Innu and Luna run over. I make my weapon take its ring form again.

"That was amazing! It was so cool how you were dodging the whips!" Luna says and I feel a small sense of pride.

"It was! But Master, can we check the tent now? I really want to know what's inside." Innu asks and I nod. I hear Luna sigh as we walk toward the tent.

"I still don't think anything's in here. It's just a random tent that the Boss walked by." She says causing Innu to pout and run ahead. She opens the door while we lag about seven feet behind her. She immediately jumps back, using her wings, and ends up a foot behind us.

"What is it?" I ask, drawing my Dark Weapon again.

"There's another Slime in there! It's in a big bucket." Innu responds making Luna growl. We slowly walk over to the tent. Innu uses her flames to lift the tent up and knock it away. I see the bucket she was talking about. It's made of wood and is almost to my waist. I see the Slime inside. It looks just like the Ultra Elemental Slime Ruler except it's just piled into the bucket. I use Observe on it and sigh in relief.

Ultra Elemental Slime Ruler Gel(35) Legendary Alchemy Ingredient

This Gel is all that's left of a dead Slime Ruler. It's the material its body's made from. It houses the Immunitys of the Ruler, making it the best Ingredient for resistance potions. It also contains traces of Abyss magic, making it highly sought after and very valuable.

"It's a dead one." I say while putting my Dark Weapon away. Luna sighs with relief while making the blade of her Mana Sword disappear. She and Innu examine the bucket.

"So what is it?" Innu asks.

"It's the gel of the Boss Slime. Remember how I said they live in groups of two? I think this is the female one. It died somehow, and the other one kept it here." I answer and Luna steps back.

"Should we leave it?" She asks and I shake my head no.

"It's a great Alchemy Ingredient. Apparently, it has some rare Abyss magic in it too. I'm sure Ramia will love it." I say before storing it, and the bucket in my inventory.

"What else did we get?" Innu asks and I shrug.

"I'm not sure, but we'll go over that later. I have something else I need to do." I say and the two sigh. They return to my Domain after Innu gave me some mana to heal myself some more. I kept enough to use Gaia's Embrace. I walk away from the battlefield, mostly because the ground where the Boss and I fought is covered in holes from the whips and my Devour. Once I find I good spot I get ready to call Verona.
