Against an Army

The sect’s prestige greatly rose soon after. With you accomplishment of being the strongest swordsman in the national competition, a fast stream of people come to the sect. This also had the effect of making others join in hopes that the sect would continue to grow with all the new disciples. With so many people trying out, all of you became busy evaluating their everyone skills. Of course you could easily see through their ability without bedding them, but they’d hardly accept things without a proper exam. Things started to look quite good, until a large army suddenly arrived. It seems Duan Yijun is making good on his threat. The army consists of both his Knight’s Everglade sect, and his Yijun families personal forces. This cause quite the disturbance in the sect, as even your family is worried.

“What shall we do?” Jun asks, barely keeping herself together. You look to see everyone looking to you, hoping that you have a plan. The only one that seems indifferent is Qingyu. It be a major problem if Qingyu handles it, as that would reveal herself as an ancient grade artifact spirit. It would cause saint spirit realm cultivators from all over to hunt you for her. You also remain calm though, as you are confident that you can easily resolve the situation.

“Don’t worry everyone! I’ll handle this! Just stay here, and wait for the good news!” You say. Although their curious what your plan is, they immediately sigh in relief. You then head out the army!

“Halt! State your business!” A guard yells as you approach the camp.

“I’m the Patriarch of the sect you plan to strike. I wish to discuss things with your leaders!” You say, causing the man to be stunned. He quickly recovers, and brings you into the war tent near the center of the camp. When you enter, you see Duan, and a number of others besides him.

“Brave lad! I didn’t think you’d dare enter an enemy camp! So what brings you here!” He says slyly.

“You know why I’ve come, so why ask? It’s obviously to talk you out of this!” You say.

Oh? I was betting on you just surrendering!” He says smugly, making you sigh.

“I’ll give you this chance to peacefully head home, and I’ll forgive this grievance! Are you sure you want to die!” You say in disappointment. They all just laugh at you.

“Boy, you may be strong, but you can’t possibly think you can win can you? Your gonna die a gruesome ****, unless you disappear tonight. Tomorrow the Seductive Lotus sect will be no more!” Duan laughs, making you sigh once again.

Lastly, though it isn’t much of an option, but you can chop to fight, and all die a meaningless ****!” You say.

Y-you’ll just let us go? That sounds to good to be true!” Another man exclaims.

“What benefits are their in joining you?” One of the women ask.

“ The prestige of my sect is quickly rising, and I can guarantee we would treat you well. If you all join, our prestige would surely grow even faster. As for the benefits we can provide, you’ve all already experienced a bit of my ability, though dual cultivation is looked down upon by most, I can guarantee that cultivating with me would highly benefit your cultivation’s. For the men, I’m sure if you can sway the beauties in the sect, that you’ll not regret it.” You declare, making the men give grimy smiles.

“What if we want to keep our chastity’s!” One woman chirps out.

“Disciple greets sect master! This disciple is named Gu Guanyu!” She says, bowing to you. The others weren’t so quick to jump ships, taking more time to decide. You didn’t mind this, simply waiting patiently for them to decide. In the end, only three women decided not to join.

“Since you don’t wish to join, May I ask what you plan to do?” You ask.

“We shall inform the disciples of your offer to take them in, not that we lost so many of our elders, we wouldn’t be able to properly care for them. You’ve already demonstrated that fighting your sect is futile, so we shall depart unless you stop us!” The woman says, clearly a bit overwhelmed by the sudden developments.

“Then how about we establish an alliance! In your current situation, it’s likely that other’s may strike you while your down. With an alliance to us, this is far less likely, and I should be able to resolve it quite easily, all things considered!” You say.

“Then we will have to accept your generosity!” She says, before the three of them give you a bow.

On the way back, Gu pulls you to the side. “Is it alright if you can demonstrate this for me tonight!” She whispers blushing. You do your best to hold in a chuckle, not wanting to further her embarrassment.

“I believe that can be arranged!” You whisper back, making her smile, but also blush even more. When you return to the sect, you have everyone else shown to their new residences, except for Gu, as you lead her back to your abode.
