A man sellling tickets

A dazzling array of multicolored lights assail Hilda's senses as she walks into the entranceway. At the far end of the room sits a bearded man in a booth next to a curtain.

"Welcome fair knight to the Fairy Fair!" The man says with a smile, showing off his gold tooth.

"Um... Hello," Hilda says, finding this whole thing odd, and yet, strangely soothing. "Am I early?"

"No madam, we just finished setting up and we're open for business! For a single silver, you'll get to experience wonders beyond you wildest imagination! See strange creatures! Sample exotic foods! Who knows, you may have so much fun here, you'll never want to leave!"

Hilda chuckles at this carnie's absurd theatrics.

They're probably just selling corndogs while a bearded woman offers palm readings, but eh, that could be worth a few laughs.

"Alright, you've convinced me," Hilda says with a smile as she tosses him a coin and enters through the curtain.

Once she's disappeared into the circus the man takes her coin and grins. "There's another one born every minute..."
