A fight between Heather and Victoria

After an awkward dinner where not much was said, a few of them split on different ways, since not everyone wanted to do the same thing. Kurt announced he was going down to the lake to swim a bit more, even if it was already dark outside. Brandon decided to join him, despite Ashley’s protests. Zack and Gavin followed them but decided to sit on the beach around the lake, where they fished out their phones and began to play 'Fatal Tower of Doom' again.

As for the girls, much to Heather’s dismay, they camped in the living room to watch some TV. The busty cheerleader wanted to do something a little more fun than sit on the couch for the rest of the night, but she ended up making them company. Everything was going great until Victoria had to sour her mood by mentioning her cousin.

“Hey Heather, how come you never introduced us to Kurt?” the green-eyed blonde asked with excitement on her voice.

“Well, probably ‘cause I have brains,” she answered with a hint of anger. “It may not look like it sometimes, but I have.”

“Heather…,” Ashley said in a warning tone, but a look from the brunette made her drop the issue. Chloe only watched the exchange with bated breath. Mentioning her own experience with Kurt could make Heather even angrier, and Vicky might not believe her, so the redhead figured she should stay quiet for now.

Victoria frowned at her friend’s response. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“It’s supposed to mean that my cousin is the biggest douchebag in the planet and you being you, of course, is already eating on his hand!” Heather shouted, letting out all the frustration she felt at Victoria for not seeing through Kurt’s ploy.

Victoria’s expression changed to one of outrage. “I have you know he’s being nothing more than a gentleman and a very nice guy to me!”

“Of course he is, that’s how he works!” Heather argued.

The blonde crossed her arms and stared at her friend with a defiant look on her face. “I think you’re being too harsh on him.”

Heather laughed at that. “And now you’re suggesting I don’t know my cousin,” she shot back. “Really funny, Victoria! C'mon, tell me another joke, I'm in a laughing mood tonight!”

Vicky shook her head in anger. “I’m not going to stay here and hear you badmouth Kurt,” she then stood up and walked briskly towards her room. Just before she entered it, the blonde girl turned back to the room. "And you don't get to decide how I live my life! That goes for you too, Ashley!"

Heather covered her face with her hands and let out a long and suffering sigh, wondering when her friend would ever learn her lesson. Why can't she see through Kurt's plans?

“You went too far with her, Heather.” Ashley finally said, squeezing her friend’s arm.

“If we don’t try knocking some sense into her, Ash, she’ll repeat the same mistakes over and over,” Heather replied softly before standing up. “I have half a mind to call my mother and tell her Kurt’s been ruining everyone’s time here.”

Ashley and Chloe then watched silently as the brunette cheerleader went over to her room and locked herself inside it.
