A curious case of Atavism (53xwriter)

You brush your horseshoe moustache with a self satisfied smirk, it is a rather handsome face, of you say so yourself. Even compared to most of the Adventurers... And definitely compared to some of them.

You shudder at the thought of those bipedal abominable affronts to any aesthetic sense. A deformed goblin that was swallowed, chewed and regurgitated by a giant toad would look handsome in comparison...

You physically shake off those unpleasant thoughts and head outside, once more thinking back to the big update, and the event in which you "starred".

Back then you were a "Wandering Warrior NPC", offering martial arts training to those that would ask for it... Or killed you for the skillbooks you dropped.

Now that you think about it... You haven't actually ever got to teach one of your skills. And with the event's end you were almost indistinguishable from a random bandit for the average player.

If there was anything before that, the wipes ensured you know next to nothing about it. Even those memories are not quite yours. You know things happened... and you still have leftover perks from that, but the few wipes between then and now erased any details.

• Martial Artist: you have access to the Techniques system; they may add additional effects to mundane skills.
• Fiendblooded: you have Fiendish ancestry, which manifests in your blood, this increases your vitality and Strength. [+1 Favour with Fiends; -1 Favour with Celestials; +2 Vitality; +1 Strength]
• Sacred Spirit: you have Celestial Ancestry, which manifests in your spirit. This grants special skill Radiance. [Radiance 1; +1 Favour with Celestials; -1 Favour with Fiends].
• Mentor: You can impart your skills (including special ones) to others, provided they fulfill necessary conditions and prove themselves to you.
• Handsome: You are attractive. +2 Favour with creatures attracted to your race and sex.
  Techniques
• Channeling(Chi Control)[0]: You can channel you energies into your body and the tools you wield, increasing their effectiveness.
• Cycles of Ying and Yang(Erotic Arts, Chi Control)[0]: Additional benefits to yourself and your partner during intercourse.

Moves(collapsed)

Yeah, nothing to write home about, sadly. Pretty much run of the mill staple melee mook. Well, you are a bit stronger than could be expected or if your level due to your Skill levels and Perks...

Which means you won't be mowed down by a random Adventurer in a single combat... Unfortunately for you single combat with an Adventurer is... almost unheard of.

They tend to appear in packs, from two to five. Or sometimes in swarms up to twenty. And the loners you meet are usually at best a tough challenge.

You sigh and mumble "A new update message means that there will be a wave of fresh Adventurers bothering me."

At least you will have time to find yourself some weapon. Or at least something that is weapon-like enough for your skills to work.

With that in mind you head outside your dwelling.
