A magnificent view ahead

As you step out into the woods outside your dwelling, you step for a while to just... Look at the scenery.

Your cave is situated at the edge of the tree line of one of the few mountains surrounding a plateau... Which, now that you think about it, is oddly conspicuous. As if it used to be one of the mountains in this mountain range. Or maybe it's just that the Gods decided it would look nice.

And look nice it did indeed. Lush meadows framing a river flowing out of the central lake, ending in a waterfall. The lake itself sparkling in the morning light, with its tributaries hiding under the canopies of the forests covering in a crescent about a half of the plateau as well as the sides of the surrounding mountains.

While the view is indeed beautiful, it neither helps with your hunger, thirst nor will it help you deal with the Adventurers which are pretty much guaranteed to start swarming the area soon.

If you recall correctly, the foot of the mountains is a starter area for "nature-type" Adventurers... Or at least popular among them.

At least this area is the "first zone" populated with mostly relatively low-level enemies like wild beasts, forest goblins and a few Goblin tribes with their hunter-gatheter parties roaming the forests. With more danger the closer one gets to the summits...

Or at least it used to be like that. It shouldn't have changed too much. But, after all there has been an update, do there's no telling what might have been added. And with a World Event almost certainly in the horizon, who knows what kind of "teasers" and "foreshadows" have been added.

Which won't matter much if you starve to **** before you meet one. Or get killed by an Adventurer. Or just get mauled by the mobs that technically out level you.

Anyways, it's time to leverage your skills to forage for food... And hopefully find a piece of wood you can convert into something adequately weapon-like before the first wave of XP-hungry Adventurers devoursv everything.

And so, you go into the woods...

Authors Note: Honestly speaking I used to have an idea where to take this branch... But it seems to have evaporated from my mind. I can't even quite articulate the general thing I was going for (well, besides "Angels, Devils, Sex and Wuxia")... And now realise this story might not have been the best pick for exploring that vague idea.
If you happen to get inspired by my vague introduction and setup, feel free to branch off of it or reuse the basic concept. (FYI for the system I was going for Soulsborne approach with stats affecting multiple things and levels giving a single stat, with GURPS-like approach to skills and Techniques being more vague abilities based on certain skills (whichb was completely not thought out, like Magic and Moves)
Anyways, I may or may not recapture my Muse go or that one. Don't hold your breath.
