A Makeover and a Drive

6:20 PM

Kelly strode out of the backroom wearing the uniform as bidden. The receptionist handed her a pair of white knee-high stockings to complete the look. "All the outfit had with it was a lacy blue bra and no panties", Kelly mentioned with an uncomfortable look on her face. The blonde studied the young girl for a moment and said "I think that looks darling on you! Dr. Valentine figured that since high school was the last place you were comfortable with public speaking, the uniform might help calm you down a bit, so she decided to try it in the first session. The lack of underwear will make you feel powerful. You are in control and are flaunting that rule because you can. It's all psychology, sweetheart". She had Kelly sit, put on the stockings, and then spun the chair so the girl was facing the mirror. "Now I have to straighten you up, honey. You know basic maintenance might give you a bit more confidence if you gave it a try. I wish I had time to add some highlights. . ." she remarked in a calm, unhurried voice as she started styling Kelly's chestnut brown hair. The nervous coed watched the mirror as the stylist worked some magic on her.

6:45 PM

Meredith finished putting the final touches on the makeup job and asked Kelly to look into the mirror. The difference was night and day. Kelly wondered if the secretary was some sort of fairy from an old Disney movie. Gone was the petite, mousey college girl, and in her place sat a beautiful school girl like she'd stepped from a Hollywood movie. She pinched herself in awe and felt a rising sense of confidence. The young coed looked fantastic with the hair and makeup work. The blonde smiled at her and said "One more thing" and handed her a small bag from the corner. Kelly opened it up and pulled out a pair of black wedge sandals. She slipped them on very happy it wasn't a pair of stilettos. She'd never been comfortable walking around in those.

Meredith had her stand and slowly spin in front of the mirror. "You look perfect! Now we have to go to the studio. Don't worry, no bus this time. I'll drive" the receptionist said with a smile. "Doctor Valentine is on her way there already I expect. She's been champing at the bit all week to get this started. We have very high hopes for you, Kelly!" the smiling makeup artist said as she grabbed the brunette's hand and led her to the front office door. Kelly stopped her for a second and looked around the waiting room but did not see her backpack. Meredith just laughed, "I'm sure the doctor popped up here on her way to the parking garage and grabbed it. She probably wanted to load your Powerpoint on the computer so the presentation will be ready to go". They left the office and got in the elevator. The secretary hit the basement button, the door closed and the elevator began going down.

They stepped out of the lift when the door opened and walked out into a garage that looked big enough to hold maybe four or five cars. It was well lit and Kelly could only see a light gray four-door Nissan Altima in the center of the garage. Meredith pressed the button on her key fob as they walked up to it and Kelly could hear the doors unlock and the engine start. "Hop in" she offered as the receptionist walked to the driver's side and climbed in. Kelly slid in the other side and saw the garage door start to open as she pulled the door shut. They both put their seat belts on and the driver backed the car out on to the street. "To the studio!" Meredith said with a laugh as the car began rolling down the road. "It's just a short drive, we'll be there soon" the secretary offered soothingly. Kelly leaned against the car door and slipped into a light nap. She'd get 15 minutes of sleep before they arrived.
