A Discovery

Ashley dragged Zack off to the bedroom before Madison and Kurt even made it through the door. They entered just in time to hear Heather tell Victoria that they’d explain everything once they’d discussed the issue with Zack, before she too left. In fact, the only one who seemed to want to see them was Brandon, but even the quarterback was eyeing them suspiciously from the couch. He was still trying to figure out who Madison might have fucked at the club, and seeing her walk in with Kurt only roused his interest further.

Madison stretched, reaching up high above her head with her fingers intertwined, rising onto the balls of her feet, making her whole body slender and pushing her chest up. She breathed out long as she came down and shrugged, as much to herself as anyone. “Well, this Hannah situation doesn’t really matter to me, and I’m kind of tired. I’d kind of just like to sleep.”

“Oh?” Brandon asked, standing. “Do you wanna head back to the camp?”

“Actually, I was thinking of staying here tonight. I don’t feel like traipsing back to the clearing and it would be nice to sleep on a real bed again,” Madison admitted, scratching her head. “But I understand if you don’t want to stay here.”

“No, it’s fine. In fact, Heather suggested the same thing and I told her that I’d ask you. And now I know. Though…” Brandon paused thoughtfully, tilting his head upwards. “There might not be enough space. If we take up a room someone will have to sleep on the couch.”

“Hm, so you want to share a room with me now?” Madison bit her bottom lip and smiled, teasing him though she knew it was unlikely that he’d come to his senses all by himself.

“Oh, um, yeah, that might not be a good idea,” Brandon stammered, realising that despite his ambitions for Madison’s future, he might not be able to keep his hands off of her if they were stuck in a room together, just the two of them, all night. “If there’s a bed free, you can take it. I’ll bunk on the couch.”

“That’s not necessary. There’s a bed free in the bed room with Chloe, but I think there’s also an air mattress in the storeroom beneath the deck.” Kurt motioned towards the kitchen where the glass doors to the outside deck were. “One of you can use that.”

“Wait, in Chloe’s room?” Brandon asked, curious. “I thought that’s where you were sleeping.”

“I was, a couple nights ago, but last night I stayed with Victoria and Chloe slept out at Hannah’s. She’s back tonight but…I guess I just assumed it was easier to keep things the way they were.” The older blonde teen looked to Victoria, unsure. “Maybe, you’d rather I didn’t?”

“No, I’d, um, I’d like that,” Victoria bowed her head, blushing slightly, which Kurt found rather funny. She’d sucked his cock in the car and sent pictures to another man but admitting she wanted this intimacy made her blush. “I don’t want to be alone.” She quickly shook her head as Kurt raised an eyebrow. “No, not like that, not like last night. I’m not just saying that so you’ll think it’s your idea. I really mean it.”

“In that case, Madison should take the bed and I-”

“No, you can have the bed,” Madison cut in bluntly. “I’ll take the air mattress in the master bedroom with Victoria and Kurt.”

That surprised Brandon, Victoria and Kurt. Why those three? It was true that Madison wouldn’t like to share with Zack or Ashley, so that was those rooms out, but why would she pass up the offer of a bed, which she said she wanted, to sleep on the floor in a room with Victoria and Kurt? Madison had never been close to Victoria, not like Heather and Ashley, and none of them had met Kurt before this week. Though Madison did know Kurt from before tonight, like when she stroked his cock to taunt Lisa just two nights ago. Was she just using the air mattress when really she was with Kurt? Was Victoria just a cover for the pair?

But Victoria and Kurt were just as surprised. Immediately their minds went to Shawn. This kind of sudden behaviour was just like when Victoria asked to use the master bedroom last night; a seemingly innocent request that had allowed her to further her plans. Kurt frowned, wondering if this was the same thing, whether Shawn had set Madison upon him as well. He could only hope that Victoria really head been redeemed. There was no way he’d survive a night in a room with two of Shawn’s slutty agents.

“Al-alright, then, you can sleep in our room,” Victoria agreed, stepping up beside the shorter brunette. “Let’s say we find you some pyjamas to wear.”

“But, but, I…” Madison stammered as Victoria put an arm around her shoulders and led her down the hall towards the master bedroom.

Kurt watched as Victoria shot a look over her shoulder at him, a sort of unreadable look that he could only hope meant that she was going to try and figure out if anything else did happen in that alley way. The other option was that they were sneaking off in plain sight to plot some new scheme, together, but he didn’t like to think that way. He wanted to trust Victoria. Maybe that made him a fool, but he also knew that holding on too tight might only push her further away. She needed space to make the right decisions for herself.

“While they’re doing that, I’ll get the air mattress,” Brandon volunteered, watching Kurt the way he would a rival player on the football field. “If you can show me where this store room is.”

“Oh sure,” Kurt replied, immediately heading towards the kitchen. It seemed a little pointless to show Brandon where the air mattress was, since he could just get it himself if he had to go to all the effort of demonstrating it to the quarterback, but Brandon’s stare gave Kurt the feeling that it was better to just go along with it.

Brandon followed Kurt out on to the decking and down a set of steps to one side that led to a green door beneath. The blonde teen picked up a shaped rock from beside the door and lifted the key that was hidden beneath. Straightening up, he unlocked the door and walked inside, Brandon just a step behind. It was only once they were inside, and Brandon had taken a quick look around to ensure their privacy, that he began to talk.

“I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye. I barely know you and you fucked my ex-girlfriend, but from what I hear you’ve been doing right by Victoria,” Brandon prefaced, the intimidating tone leaving Kurt uncertain whether Brandon was about to ask a favour or bash his head in. “If I asked you to be honest with me, would you?”

“As honest as I can be,” Kurt admitted, frowning. “If this is about Victoria, I’d like to get her permission before telling you what happened.”

Brandon shook his head. “No. This is about Madison.”

“Madison?” Kurt’s voice shook uncontrollably. Was he that close to his sister that he could see something was wrong that quickly?

“I know something happened. I know she fucked someone. Don’t ask how, but I know,” Brandon revealed, thinking back to his overpowering orgasm in the bathroom. “What I want to know is, was it you?”

“Me? No, it wasn’t me,” Kurt said sincerely, though he tried to keep his face still. If Brandon was right and Madison had fucked someone, it had to be Shawn. She confessed to being in the alley way with him right before they found her, and she did seem to be acting secretive. He wanted to swear, pissed that another girl had gone over to Shawn’s side, but letting Brandon find out that his sister turned lover might now be the willing erotic pawn of a self-centred, sex-crazed misogynist didn’t seem like the best idea in the world.

“But you know she fucked someone,” Brandon held his gaze, stepping closer. “Tell me who.”

“I don’t know. I mean, I can’t say that she didn’t fuck someone,” Kurt said hastily, throwing up his hands in innocence. “I arrived later because I went to Shawn’s apartment with Jennifer White. When I arrived, I met Zack and Gavin, and after that went looking for Victoria. We met up with Madison just before Zack came and told us that Heather needed us, or rather him, back here.” Kurt breathlessly explained. “There’s a whole evening of time uncounted for where I have no idea where Madison was or what she was up to.”

“Hm,” Brandon hummed thoughtfully. “I guess I’ll ask Gavin or Zack if they saw anything.”

Kurt breathed, feeling his whole body relax as Brandon seemed to let the issue go. Though older and physically strong, Kurt had seen first hand what Brandon’s fury had done to Zack, and he was in no hurry to experience it first hand. In fact, he was in a rush to get the air mattress and get out of the enclosed space with the quarterback as quick as possible. So, navigating through the host of old equipment and discarded nostalgic memorabilia, he located the air mattress and lifted in up into his arm.

“Huh?” Brandon stepped forward, pointing below where the air mattress had just been. “What’s that?”

Kurt followed Brandon’s finger to a small rectangular metal box, well made but weathered, and the markings had faded considerably. It was not a box that Kurt had ever remembered seeing before as he said the obvious, “it’s a box.”

“Looks old,” Brandon said, stepping ahead of Kurt and carefully lifting it. The box itself was lightweight enough, though whatever was inside made it seem much heavier. “I wonder what’s inside.”

“Something someone wanted hidden,” Kurt noted, nodding towards the keyhole. “It’s locked.”

“Maybe…it’s kind of rusted, like it was left out in the rain for a long time…” Brandon replied, lifting it to eye level and spinning it to see the lid from all angles. “I bet I could…”

“No, don’t,” Kurt tried to say but it was too late.

Brandon pulled on the lid with all of his strength, and with a crunch the box snapped open, the hinges crumbling as the box fell apart. The pop came so suddenly the box dropped from Brandon’s hands and fell in a clatter on the floor. It sat on its side, the contents spilled out, as both men leered down for a closer look.

“Oh wow,” Brandon said, catching sight of what was in the box.
