A Devil In Chains

I walk through the portal and appear in a white room. I look around and see a single door and window. The door is made of metal and the window shows an interrogation room. The room reminds me of police movies and sitting at the only table is the Devil of Temptation. He has a collar around his neck and his arms and legs are chained together.

"He can't see us from here. Our plan is to have you go in alone. He can't use his magic, so don't worry. We'll also hear everything said and record it. Like you know, all he's said so far is that he'll only talk with you one on one." Sugano says.

"Will I be able to use magic in there?" I ask and she looks at me a bit surprised.

"Yes, but why would you?" She asks and I smile.

"I have a plan, but I need magic." I say and she nods before Kagiyama opens the metal door. It's now I notice a stone door, exactly like the one we came through, on the wall opposite the window.

"Don't hesitate to call for us or just leave if you want to." Kagiyama tells me and I nod. Even though I have no intention of leaving. He leads me to the door leading to where the Devil is. He unlocks it and steps back as I open it. I see the Devil look up and smile when he sees me. The door closes behind me and I sit down at the table.

"I wasn't sure you'd come." The Devil says and I smile.

"Why wouldn't I?" I ask him and he just smiles further.

"So, why did you come?"

"I have some questions for you."

"I'm sure you do but I have no intention of answering them until you answer mine." He says with a smile and I smile.

"Then how about this. Are you familiar with Curse magic?" I ask and he nods. "Good, then I'll Curse us both with the Curse of Truth. It'll last an hour and we'll be unable to lie. Then we could just take turns asking our questions." I say and The Devil looks at me with a smile, but I can see some shock in his eyes.

"How will I know if you really put the Curse of Truth on yourself? And are you even strong enough to Curse me?"

"Your horns will let you know. I'll cast it on you first, then myself. Your horns will let you feel the way the mana flows so you'll know if I cast a different spell on myself. And it will work on you as long as you don't resist the Curse. But I will know if you try." I say bluffing.

"Deal." The Devil of Temptation says after a moment of silence. I cast Apply Curse on him and select the Curse of Truth and set it for an hour. As soon as the spell finishes he opens his mouth. "My name is Ha..." He starts but stops when a collar of red lightning appears. It seems to hurt him before disappearing. "I'm impressed, I didn't think you had enough skill to Curse a Devil." He says and I Curse myself. He smiles feeling the mana from my Curse. "Since you came all this way, why don't you go first."

"Sure. So your God, he's watching us now isn't he?" I ask causing the Devil of Temptation to look at me surprised and shocked.

"You knew?" Is all he can get out.

"I know you have a connection with him, and I know you can use that connection to talk and even let them see through your eyes." I say and he sighs.

"Well, there goes the surprise. Yes, he is watching through my eyes now. Anyway, it's my turn now. So, where are we exactly? And I mean exactly, like how did you get here and how long did it take." He asks and I smile

"No idea. We came through a Dimension Door. But Kagiyama was the one who put the code in, before you ask I don't know it, then we ended up here."

"They didn't tell you where you were going?"

"Liz started to, but I stopped her before she could say anything." I say and the Devil looks at me with a smile, but I can feel his anger behind it.

"What's your next question?"

"Why are you working with the Elder Litch?"

"That's simple, to gather forces. We want to create an army for our God upon his return. That way he can continue his goal of killing all humans."

"Why does he want all humans dead?"

"Nope, you only get one remember? Now tell me, what happened to Zeferon?"

"He's dead. He died when I became the new Flame Devil." I say and he looks at me even more confused than before. "Now for my question, why does your God want all humans dead?"

"Because they're weak. Humans are weak and powerless, yet their governments **** us into hiding. He wants to free us from that by destroying all humans. Thus allowing Lyna to freely use their powers in the open on a daily basis."

"Your God is crazy." I say with a sigh.

"Now then, why can Kurdes not connect with you?"

"Using his name now, hmm." I say with a smile. "But to answer your question he can, I've just reached my limit for Godly connections." I say and take out my contacts. He smiles, immediately recognizing the glowing green color of my eyes.

"So, Gaia's still alive. And she's made you her Champion. That explains quite a bit." He says before sighing. "So, what's your next question?"
