Victory!

I walk over to where the others have gathered. I see Kagiyama helping Kallen stand up. Sugano is casting a spell causing a small and thin veil of water to surround Kallen.

"Are you okay?" I ask Kallen and he nods.

"He's just experiencing Mana Fatigue." Liz says.

"What's Mana Fatigue?" I ask her.

"The spell he cast is called Blinding Nova. As you saw it's very powerful but uses a lot of mana. He can only cast it once with his mana pool. Anyway, Mana Fatigue occurs when you use up at least a third of your mana in an instant. It causes you to feel very tired like you just ran for a few hours. This is because your Mana Circuits become overworked. But he'll be fine once he rests a bit." She answers and I nod. "So what did the Hydra drop?" She asks, already used to my powers from the Ruins.

"Let me check." I say while Observing the two new items I got.

Hydra Hide(29) Mythical

This hide was taken from a Hydra. A Hydras hide isn't tough against physical attacks but excels at magic defense. The hide is durable and carries a large portion of the beast's power.

Hydra Spellbook, Mythical

This Spellbook contains the magic used by Hydras. Hydras are masters of Pure Elemental attacks. They are capable of destroying entire stadiums with a swing of their tail. This book can only be read by a Hydra or a race similar. Requires 200 or more Wisdom.

"What is it?" Liz asks after seeing my smile.

"There's the Hydras Hide and a Spellbook."

"What kind of Spellbook?"

"A Hydra Spellbook. But you must be a Hydra or a similar race to read it." I say and she nods. Kallen and the others walk over to join us. I see Kagiyama is still helping Kallen, but he does look better than before.

"What are you two talking about?" Sugano asks and Liz quickly explains. I notice they didn't ask why the Hydra disappeared and assume that Liz or their daughters told them about that.

"Do you guys want the hide?" I ask after Liz finishes.

"Do you not want it?" Kagiyama asked me surprised.

"No, I'd prefer the Spellbook."

"So, do you have someone who can read it?" Sugano asks and I nod. Kagiyama agrees and I hand over all the Hydra Hide I got.

"Then let's get out of here." Kallen says and Liz pulls out another scroll. She unrolls it and we appear back in the gymnasium. The others put the Illusion items back on and I swap into my clothes. Scott is nearby and has already finished packing the equipment back up.

"Welcome back, how did it go?" He asks upon seeing us.

"It went better than we had hoped." Sugano answers.

"Having someone who could fly and Blink on distraction duty certainly helped." Liz says and I smile.

"That's good, are we ready to leave then?" Scott asks.

"Yep, let's go!" Liz says before leading us down the way we came. Once we get close to the front I see Miles walking towards us. I nod to him and hope he doesn't stop to talk.

"Did you have any questions?" He asks crushing that hope.

"No, Eric here was able to answer most of them." Kagiyama says.

"That's good, have you finished looking around?"

"Yeah, thank you for letting us in." Sugano says and we start walking past him.

"Are you okay?" Miles asks Kallen, after the two got closer.

"Yes, thank you. I haven't been getting enough sleep lately." He says before continuing past him. We get outside and start walking where we parked.

"Eric, are you still wanting to talk with the Devil of Temptation?" Liz asks me and I sigh.

"Yep." I say and she nods.

"Then follow us back to the guild hall. I'll talk to the others about it."

"Thanks." I say and she smiles before they climb into the jeep. I hope on my Motorcycle and follow them back to the guild hall. On the way, I test my Curse magic on myself. I cast Apply Curse and a new window pops up. It asks what Curse I want to apply to myself and for how long. I smile and cancel the spell. We arrive at the guild hall and I store my bike away.

"Are you sure you want to do this? We can wait until tomorrow if you'd rather." Sugano asks and I nod.

"Now is as good a time as any." I say and she sighs but nods anyway.

"Follow us then." Kagiyama says before leading me inside. Liz and Sugano follow along and I notice Kallen dissapears down another hallway. After a few minutes, we arrive at a normal wooden door. There are no guards or any magic that I can see. We enter and I see a few chairs and a table. It looks normal except for a large stone door in the corner. It isn't on any walls, it's just standing on the floor a few feet from any walls. I see a dolly next to it and wonder if it was brought here.

"That's a Dimension Door. It'll transport us to where we have the Devil of Temptation. He's being held at..." Liz starts but I cut her off.

"Don't tell me." I say and she looks at me confused but nods. Kagiyama pushes some stone buttons on the stone keypad, that I didn't notice on its side. The door clicks audibly as he finishes. He grabs the doorknob and opens it. On the other side is a glowing blue portal. It swirls and constantly moves about.

"Are you ready Eric?" Kagiyama asks me and I nod. "Then let's go." He says walking through the portal. I follow him, along with Liz and Sugano.
