A Departure...

The afternoon progresses somewhat normally from there. Karen and Jenna swim for a while together, while Allison and Riley decide to move from the pool to the hot tub. Your hot tub is a large one, it can comfortably hold 4 adults, and it has a gazebo style enclosure with plastic shades that can be drawn down to make it private. "Are you sticking around, Scott?" You aren't super pleased with the tone of Jenna's voice.

}Your son has your jaw and eyes, and Jenna's darker complexion, with an unruly mop of sandy brown hair. He's wearing a frayed Muse t-shirt: the band he's going to see tonight. About the same height as you, Jared is lean and strong but can't ever seem to gain weight: he ran track in high school, and likes golf and rock climbing.... and also weed and video games. "Jared's not getting home until late."

"Tired, champ?" you look at him sideways. He catches your tone.
"Don't start." he looks around. "Where are Alli and Riley?"

} As he rises to go that direction, you point out the bikini tops. "I think that's an invite-only party right now, bud." Jared chuckles and strips off his shirt before jumping in the pool instead. {else

A few minutes later, Jack arrives at the pool. He's changed into blue and white boardshorts, but still wears the striped polo he arrived in.
"Sorry about that. I've been up since 5:30 and I needed a little power nap. Perks of getting old, right James?" He grabs a domestic light beer from the cooler. "I swear, the main branch won't stop blowing me up." He puts his phone down near a pool chair and moves over to sit on the edge of the pool behind Karen, who's currently waist-deep in the pool with Jenna. He pulls her in from behind and gives her a kiss, which she reciprocates. {if JennaXJack > 1
} He's avoiding eye contact with Jenna, which is making you chuckle. Perhaps he's feeling a little guilty about the illicit activities with your wife?{endif

At around 3:30, you head upstairs to grab the meats, followed by Jenna to grab the salad and veggies and start preparing the meal. Zoe is laid out on the living room couch, half-asleep watching TV. You are glad, at least, that she put down a towel. She's still only wearing a t-shirt and panties. Jack must have gotten an eyeful on his way down. As you're grabbing the proteins, Jared comes inside as well. He's damp but not soaking, and his shirt is on again. He heads over to the living room, pushing Zoe over to sit next to her. After a few seconds, the sounds of a lighter and the unmistakable dank stench of weed fills the common area.
"Come on, you two. Just not out in the living room that's all I ask." Zoe turns and sticks out her tongue at you. "Ok, officer. We'll only pack one bowl." You marvel again at Zoe's comfort at sitting inches from her 19-year-old nephew while wearing essentially panties and a t-shirt.
