7. She’s not out fast enough
“Well, well, well, a thief.”
Arleth turns to the door in horror. A man leans against the doorway watching her. He doesn’t seem too angry, but there’s something on his face she can’t quite read.
“I’m so sorry, I thought this was abandoned.”
“Well it’s not.” He stands straighter, fully blocking the door.
“I… I’ll leave it.” It breaks her heart to leave the supplies but she knows she doesn’t have another choice.
