*The Witcher 3*

The Witcher 3, an epic game inspired by the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski which takes over a hundred hours to get anywhere near completion, and that's just the main story. The world is gritty and morally ambiguous, most humans are not good and a lot of monsters might not be evil.

The story is about Geralt, a Witcher with a lot of experience who tries to find his adoptive daughter Ciri as she is hunted by the monstrous Wild Hunt who want to use her power to invade the human world. As a Witcher Geralt has stronger senses then humans, he is also stronger physically, is more agile, lives longer, and his eyes adjust to different levels of light. Yes, he has cat eyes, and cats hate him. He also has more training with swords then a squadron of knights combined, and more knowledge of potions and monsters then most mages, though potions that work on witchers are poisonous to normal humans.

His ward, Ciri, is no helpless damsel however as she as been trained in swordplay by Geralt and his fellow Witchers of the School of the Wolf, and she received training in her magical talents from Yennefer Vengerberg and Triss Merigold, both of whom are among the most powerful mages in the land. She also has unique powers stemming from her inheritance of the elder blood, but she has trouble controlling it. It can allow her to travel through time and space, even to other worlds which is why the Wild Hunt want to use her to escape their dying world and conquer the human world.

As the game follows up a massive series of novels there is too much lore to go into here, but you might not experience most of it. You are not Geralt or Ciri after all.
