You don't play around though, you eat more algae expecting the little interlude with the Pokey and Chomper to occur any second, but it doesn't happen...

From higher up in the chemical-rich soup of this thermal vent near the shoreline, you hear the sound of your mate calling back through your skin, and swim up towards her. As a human, you would have found this lass utterly repulsive with her bloated abdomen and multiple eyes blinking at you like some kind of alien, but to your new body, she is lovely. You begin instinctively swimming the mating dance and she responds in kind, then swims past you emitting a pheromone that tells you to follow her to a small crevice in the rock where she can lay her eggs and you can fertilize them.

Down and down you swim, dodging predators and poison streams, till you come to her nest, and her bloated abdomen begins to empty, filling the tiny cave with her eggs. When her row is deposited she swims away with a satisfied hum. You approach the opening of the cave and ejaculate your semen all over the waiting eggs before they can harden, then shortly know no more for a minute...
