¡Bienvenida a Mexico!

"The local time is 09:25 and the air is a warm twenty-six degrees, which is about eighty Fahrenheit. Thank you for flying with United. We hope you enjoy your stay and we hope to see you on your return flight or whenever you next travel," came over the speakers and I kinda hoped that the day would keep this morning temperature all day.

After the events of the past few days, I was just glad to finally be in Mexico. The ticket I got had an awful thirteen hour layover in Denver, during which, I was left sleeping on my beach towel in the airport, waiting for the next leg of my journey.

That ordeal over, I resolved to be more upbeat, as it was a beautiful Saturday in Mexico and I was going to be spending the next eight days with Mira and, just maybe, I'd return to New York with enough of a tan to shake the rumors that I was a ghost haunting the office after everyone left.

The next step on my journey was to get on a rather beaten looking bus and ride up the coast from Cabo San Lucas proper to a place called Boca del Salado, where Miranda's friend Tiffany's family had a vacation home. The details of which I'll spare you, but suffice it to say that it was a lot different than the public transit that I was used to in New York.

Having shown the driver the address that Mira texted me, the bus dropped me off at a simple metal gate at the end of a long dirt road, which disappeared over the hill down to the ocean. The gate was closed, but a narrow opening for pedestrians stood nearby.
