Nervous, but seeing the danger of her situation, Thorn moves to follow, still clutching her little dagger.

She tries to get a read on the figure, attempting to discern ulterior motives. [SOCIABILITY 5+0]

Unfortunately, with her face partially hidden and her strange, soothing tone of voice, Thorn finds it hard to make out exactly what she's up to. She doesn't seem overtly hostile, at least. Nevertheless, caught at a disadvantage such as she is, and seeing less imminent threat than the plant-monsters that evidently prowl these wilds, Thorn takes her up on the offer.

The figure extends a hand, but the faun doesn't take it.

"Ah, no worries, dear. I know trust is hard to come by out here. My name is Jade, for what it's worth. On account of my eyes." She looks up towards Thorn, giving the faun a clear view of her face for the first time. It looked mature, with a few old scars, but her expression remained inscrutable.

"But they're blue." Thorn says.

"It, ah, was a joke."

"I am not skilled at comedy" Thorn replies.

"Fair enough, dear."
