You have chosen the humans.
Humanity is ruled by a Democracy, the only race to be so. This means that prolonged wars of attrition will be very unpopular and you would be better served to capture everything but rival capitals with diplomats or spies. You start off in the Sol system, with a small colony and an S.D.F.* unit, from these humble beginnings you must build an empire to dominate the galaxy.
*(The equivalent of a warrior in regular CivII for this scenario.)
The Default Name and Gender for the human leader are "Bladanove II"/Male, whose appearance, (by default,) resembles a tricked-out and stylish Professor Charles Xavier...
