"What's that?"

"What's that?" She asks peering down towards your crotch a bit perplexed. She looks back up at you in dawning realization, her big sea-green eyes sparkling from the firelight. "Dad?"

You feel a rush of blood flush to your face as you glow with a deep blush. 'Aw shit!' You think to yourself, 'This is just what I didn't need.'

"Oh god, I'm so sorry Laney. That isn't what you think it is...I mean it is, but...I can't help that...your mother...I mean Natali...she was teasing me in the bath...and then...here you are...sitting on my lap...oh man. This is so embarrassing. I'm sorry Laney, it's not your fault." You are gibbering, hoping beyond hope you are making some sort of sense. You try to gently push her off of you so as not to be too rough or rude to her. She is having none of it as she holds on to you and anchors her weight even further into your lap.

She presses the side of her head against your chest once more, embracing you with both arms. She holds you close. You grip the arms of the chair, not daring to touch her at this point. Her voice is still small, timid. Quiet but not a whisper. "...It's okay Daddy..." You close your eyes, wishing this could all be over soon. She continues, "I...I wish I knew you felt this way...you know...about me. I wish I knew this before."

'Fuck!' You think, nervous about where this was headed.

"No, no. Laney listen." You slow down, trying to make yourself understood. "Natali and I were in the bath just now, she was teasing me... Listen, this is just an involuntary reaction. Perfectly natural."

"Perfectly natural." She repeats. A moment passes before she continues, "She shouldn't tease you like that. It's not nice."

You sigh, exasperated. "Sometimes married couples tease each other. It's part of the fun. I mean you're a grown woman, surely you understand." You feel her right hand pull out from behind you and reach down beside her. Her hand strokes the soft silk-cotton pajamas over your now fully rigid rod. She isn't grabbing it, simply feeling it through the clothes.

"...grown woman..." You hear her repeat your words again. "I do understand." She kisses your chest in a not very familial way.

"Melanie, no!" You say sternly. Assuming a deep authoritative paternal voice you add, "This stops now. Get off."

Seeming to ignore you she keeps lightly caressing your shaft as if admiring something rare and delicate and cherished. She goes on in her quiet but steady voice. "It's okay Daddy. Really it is. I...I feel the same way. I've always felt this way. I just didn't know you did too." She musters her courage and continues, "I tried going out with boys. All sorts. But none of them could measure up. None of them were good enough. None of them were...none of them were you." She kisses your chest again. "I'm so happy I can finally tell you this. I'm so happy, so so happy."

You state again even more forcefully, "You are not listening Melanie. GET...OFF...OF...ME...NOW!" A slight waver enters your voice as your fatherly resolve begins to buckle. Unwelcome thoughts whispering in your mind, 'She isn't really your daughter.'

"Don't worry Daddy." She says looking up at you with beautiful covetous aquamarine eyes. "I won't tease you."
