"To a safe journey..."

The wine you've been drinking has not gone to your head enough to make any lewd toasts to the handsome pirate. You raise your cup and simply say, "To a safe journey!"

The three of you repeat the toast and drink. Glenda leans precariously against you, a silly smile on her face. She starts to slip and you catch her and take her cup of wine before it spills. Rakins hurries over to the bed and helps you ease Glenda back among the cushions.

"Bed time already, mother?" says the elf.

She begins to snore almost immediately. For a moment, Rakins hesitates beside the bed as if he might say or do something. You smile up at him, waiting for him to make his move. Somewhat to your disappointment, he stands and straightens his patchwork coat.

"We are approaching the coast where the sea wugs like to raid. I doubt they will attack us - they usually prefer smaller prey - but I should be at the helm while we pass through this treacherous area."

"Of course, yes." You say. "I should be getting to sleep. Thank you, captain."

"Sister," he says and settles his flamboyant hat back atop his head as he exits the cabin. You finish your wine and stretch out on the bed beside Glenda. You mentally blame her sweet snoring for keeping you awake, but the truth is you are nervous about traveling at sea. The motion of the boat, the wine and the prospect of an ambush are conspiring to twist your stomach in knots.

Faint moonlight drifts into the cabin. You've almost fallen asleep when you are jolted upright in bed by shouting on the decks above. You hear Rakins' voice above the general shouting, issuing orders that sound like a captain trying to command a battle. Seconds later, you are shaken by the rumble of cannons firing along one side of Skirmisher.

The ship must be under attack! You leap from the bed and grab the sword of St. Magdalena. To your amazement, Glenda turns onto her belly, still asleep and drooling into the pillows. Her gown rides up her thighs to exposes her buttocks and a glimpse of her green-furred peach.

There can be no doubt that the ship is under attack. You feel the cannons firing again and then you hear the clang of weapons on the deck. Captain Rakins told you to stay in the cabin no matter what. But can you really stand idly by while the ship is attacked?
