Meet with Qara

by Ronin1337

Chapter 14 in Isekai Space Adventure

I went alone. Lily wanted to come. Eleni had several compelling reasons why she should come. I didn’t think the tension between those two would be productive to calming down the raging world breakers down there. The Crystal Palace appeared on the horizon shortly after my shuttl...

Negotiate with the Young World Conquerors

by Ronin1337

Chapter 13 in Isekai Space Adventure

I managed to get about four hours of sleep after Eleni left. I was startled awake by the ship intercom requesting my presence in the briefing room. I tossed on a fresh uniform set, new jacket and the shirt Eleni had brought me. I stood outside waiting for the captain to open the...

Eleni

by Ronin1337

Chapter 12 in Isekai Space Adventure

The silhouette stopped in the bathroom doorway. Eleni stepped through the steam. She’d apparently taken Medical’s advice and showered already. Her short black hair was still damp, clinging in uneven strands around her pointed ears and cheeks. Instead of her uniform, she’d wrapped...

Head back to Camp

by Ronin1337

Chapter 11 in Isekai Space Adventure

I mostly ignored Lily’s protests on our trek back down to the beach. By the time we saw the ocean, the sky was beginning to brighten. We stumbled out of the jungle too tired to walk, dragging our blistered feet through the mud and onto the sand. The beach camp was exactly where...

Stealth

by Ronin1337

Chapter 10 in Isekai Space Adventure

The first problem was my jacket. Federation gold looked impressive on the bridge of a starship. In a primitive village illuminated by fifty open fires, it made me a walking, bright yellow target. I pulled it off. “What are you doing?” Eleni whispered. “Trying not to glow in th...

Night Mission into the Primitive Village

by Ronin1337

Chapter 9 in Isekai Space Adventure

We pushed forward anyway. Once the last traces of sunlight disappeared, the planet became a completely different place. The canopy swallowed what little moonlight reached the surface, leaving us dependent on the lamps mounted to our equipment. Every beam of light revealed another...

Rescue Eleni

by Ronin1337

Chapter 8 in Isekai Space Adventure

The jungle swallowed Eleni before either of us had time to react. I my way through the thick combative foliage and reached her just in time to watch the jungle vines retracting into the canopy overhead. Eleni disappeared upward. “Lieutenant!” I looked up. She was already...

Federation Special Operations

by Ronin1337

Chapter 7 in Isekai Space Adventure

The woman standing beneath the wreck looked like she had been waiting for us. She was tall, maybe a little taller than Lily, with a curvy figure that her uniform did absolutely nothing to hide. Jet-black hair fell in a perfectly straight bob around her jaw, blunt bangs framing a...

Head into the Jungle

by Ronin1337

Chapter 6 in Isekai Space Adventure

The jungle swallowed our Team twenty meters past our beach camp. Once we could no longer see the beach, we found ourselves surrounded by dripping leaves, buzzing insects, and vegetation so thick the security team had to slowly chop our way through it. Lily took point beside me,...

Take the Main Elevator

by Ronin1337

Chapter 7 in Isekai Space Adventure

We took the Main Elevator down into the unknown, guns ready and were met with immediate resistance as a wave of ferocious drones came swarming down the tunnel. Mikhail was having the time of his life. His Gatling gun roared, six barrels glowing orange as explosive rounds tore th...

Clear the Alien Infestation

by Ronin1337

Chapter 6 in Isekai Space Adventure

The job sounded simple when Mikhail explained it, which should have been my first warning. A remote mining colony called Orpheus Ridge had stopped responding three days ago. The final transmission mentioned an unknown infestation spreading through the lower tunnels, followed by g...

Give in and Fuck Lily

by Ronin1337

Chapter 5 in Isekai Space Adventure

I pulled the tent flap fell shut, cutting the noise of the camp down to a distant murmur. I needed a moment to get my thoughts together. That moment was cut short as Lily stepped closer. She was still standing there in that damned blue swimsuit, arms folded, halo glowing softly...

Find your Ship

Chapter 5 in Isekai Space Adventure

BOUNTY CANCELLED — 0 XENS AWARDED. Great. My first act as a professional bounty hunter and I traded away 18,000 Xens for five minutes with the first hot girl I encountered. I opened my menu and checked the map, mostly because I had no idea what else I was supposed to do. A new w...

Establish Camp

by Ronin1337

Chapter 4 in Isekai Space Adventure

The security team moved with the efficiency of men who had clearly set up temporary camps on hostile alien worlds before. I hoped that us dedicating more time to prep may help more of these red shirts survive the mission. Within twenty minutes, the empty stretch of beach had acqu...

Iris and TIA continue to argue

by Ronin1337

Chapter 7 in Isekai Space Adventure

According to Sergeant Mercer, we had six hours before reaching Kertha. I intended to spend at least five of them getting some sleep. I’d barely gotten comfortable when two familiar bickering voices filled the room. “Move.” “No.” “TIA-919, I just ordered you to get out of my wa...

Rendezvous with Echo Squad

by Ronin1337

Chapter 5 in Isekai Space Adventure

By morning, Iris had apparently discovered shame. She sat eight inches curled into a ball on my armor’s shoulder, knees pulled against her chest, staring determinedly at the opposite wall. “So…” “No.” “I wasn’t going to say anything.” “You were going to mention last night.”...
