In the days of the Old Republic, when Jedi and Sith fought constant wars for supremacy over the galaxy, thousands of Jedi fought and died across hundreds of worlds. After centuries of warfare, their numbers began to be depleted, while their ancient enemy, the Sith, grew in strength and numbers.

Faced with a crisis of galactic proportions, the Jedi Council took radical measures in order to increase the numbers of sensitive children who could be trained up to be Jedi and have those children be better fighters. In order to accomplish both of these goals, while remaining true to the Jedi rule of no marriage, two new rules were instituted.

The first was that all Jedi/Padawan pairings would be changed to pair a Jedi Knight or Master with a Padawan of the opposite sex. In addition to their normal training, the pair would be required to have sex frequently with the hope of producing offspring. With both parents as Jedi, the likelihood that the child would be born as a powerful sensitive would be greatly increased.

The second change was that highly proficient, non-Jedi warriors would be brought in to train the next generation of Jedi Knights. These soldiers, smugglers, mercenaries, and other skilled combatants would also provide their genetic material to the cause with men impregnating as many female Jedi as possible and female fighters expected to carry seed of a prominent male Jedi.

With these new rules in place, the Jedi will be ready to create the next generation of warriors to defened the Republic from the evil Sith and peace will reign once more.
