You vs. Bully: Your Crush's Heart

You and Tori relax by the fireplace after a day of adventure and romance. Her tired smile speaking a thousands words directly to your heart. You wrap your hands around her beautiful body.

"I love you, Adam."

"I love you too, Tori."

You go in for a kiss and-

You wake up to the sound of your alarm screeching. You turn it off and let out a frustrated groan. Why do dreams always end at the best part? You ponder this mystery as you get ready to start the day.

In case you have somehow forgotten who you are, let's recap. You are Adam, a completely average 23 year old man. Now, that does not mean you are just like every other 23 year old man. Rather it means there is absolutely nothing extraordinary about you. You are average from height to weight and even to dick size. You are not exceptionally attractive but are also not exceptionally ugly. By all standards you are an average human being.

Obviously this was no help in high school. You were almost invisible for four years of your life. With the only time anyone saw you being when your bully would torment you. Derek, total alpha and total sadist asshole. Your teeth still clench at the thought of him. You remember how all the prettiest girls were obsessed with him. And yet he often seemed more obsessed with his victims. He didn't even have the decency to be an idiot or an outcast. You never got to think while he picked on you that one day he'd be in jail or stuck working at a fast food place. He was the most popular guy in school who came from a wealthy happy family and he graduated valedictorian of your class! Last you heard he was going off to some Ivy League school to study business or something.

You on the other hand studied computer science and are currently working for a startup tech company. It pays the bills but not much else. You probably would have left this dump of a town if not for Tori.

Tori was the one girl that has ever cared to notice you. You met her your second year of college. She was a freshman scared and lost, and you were the kind upperclassman who was there to help. You quickly became friends but you were always too nervous to ask her out. Still, you remained close when you graduated. She works at the coffee shop near your apartment.

You finish getting ready and head out. If you hurry you'll have have time to get a coffee from Tori.
