Velsia

"Welcome, human." Spoke a loud voice.

Opening your eyes, you found yourself floating naked in a vibrant space, filled with beautiful nebulas of purple, blue, and pink. Below you sat a large planet, with landmasses very different from Earth's. Orbiting nearby were two strange moons, one magenta, the other a deep blue.

Before you, sitting in space, was a huge black cat with deep purple eyes, staring right at you.

"Do not fear human. I am a friend." Spoke the cat with a gentle purr.

"What's happening? Where am I?" You questioned.

"You may not remember, but moments ago you were walking back to your home when a small cat ran past you into a busy road. Instead of idling by, as most humans would, you leapt after it, quickly scooping it up and throwing it back to safety. You saved the cat, but you were struck by a car in its place."

"The cat you saved is a direct descendent of mine, living a simple life as an unintelligent cat, but one day, when it grows older, it shall ascend and become a guardian like myself. Had it died, its life truly would have ended. By saving that cat, you have done our kind a great service. So before your soul drifts onwards into the afterlife, I would like to offer you a reward." The cat explained, before gesturing below with its tail.

"Below us is a magical world known as Velsia, filled with all sorts of magical races known only in your fantasies back on Earth. This world also features a magical system very similar to those video games you love to play. If you lived here, you could lead the life you have always dreamt of. If you would like, I will grant you the right to stay on Velsia, to live out the rest of your days. You will also be gifted a rare magical mutation I have selected specifically for you, based on your.. tastes."

"Would you like to accept my reward and start your life in Velsia?"

Without thinking, you immediately responded.

"Yes."

The huge cat nodded and spoke once more.

"Then I shall teleport you below. On arrival the first thing you will notice is a HUD floating before you. This is normal, all inhabitants have a HUD function. Yours will be offering you a questline, accept and it will guide you through a short tutorial before sending you in the right direction. Enjoy your new home."

The cat's eyes slowly closed and your vision blurred, then everything went dark.
