Time-Looped

Time-Looped

Sometimes, you swear you can't tell the days apart...

Chapter 1 by melusinia melusinia

What if you could repeat a single day as much as you wanted? What if the people around you never noticed? Not even if you did something to change it? Not even if you made that day your plaything?

Does it even have to be a day? For example, maybe an office worker steps onto the train, unaware she's boarded ten times in a row by now. Maybe she has no idea that the man who saw her the first time has kept targeting her since, doing anything he wants to her in the midst of a throng of salarymen, the same half-hour span with different humiliations each time. Maybe she doesn't even notice how she obeys the looper's demand to bend over inside her regular train car. Maybe the creampie she never notices leaves her torn clothes and rolls down her legs like water off a duck's back. Why would she suspect anything out of the ordinary? Is something happening to her? She's just been taking the commute home, hasn't she?

This is an open thread for anyone to post short stories where victims keep being reset back in time, each time ripe for manipulation yet again. The concept is originally spun off from a branch of MonsterInNeed's Oblivious, which also inspired the general format of this thread.

What makes this format particularly alluring for me (aside from the fact it's extremely hot) is that the original "time" becomes a writing skeleton I can mess with wantonly in each repeat. I hope the concept inspires you to start looping through your own kernel with fun, egregious "additions" too!

Mind the following points:

1) Stories are free to write their preferred POV, and whether they follow the victim or the "protagonist".

2) The world, including any victims, can be as unaware of the protagonist's actions as desired. Essentially, pick your obliviousness. (Feel free to play around with this: if you want to make a slice of time your playground, there might be problems if people react realistically to you not wearing any clothes or only wearing someone like a cocksleeve - then again, maybe only your victim notices, or maybe you find fun in making waves before it all resets!)

3) This is for short stories, so write at least a single chapter of something substantial - when in doubt, it's not exactly a loop if there's not any loops. That said, that doesn't mean you have to stop at one chapter!

In order for people to find something they might be interested in at a glance, I ask you use the following style for your titles:

[Quick description of the victim - quick description of the loop]

[NOTE: If you're writing based on a preexisting work (i.e. fan-fiction), go to the "Preexisting setting" chapter and start your story from there.]

Have fun!

Who's the victim?
